  Bagpipes in the Jungle!

  went to the regional fair with my son and daughter (19 and 17 respectively) tonight.

  it was generally a pretty sad showing compared to last year.

  the livestock exhibits and other local products like coffee, cocoa and bananas were well represented.

  Regarding the "god" of the Watchtower

  explain something to me, please.. has anyone noticed the similarity of the god of the watchtower (as they portray him) to allah?

  i know very little about islam.

  i have read a little and frankly am not interested (mark me down as a "not at home").. i must state that i use the word god in small letters because i don't believe that the wt revers jehovah other than in name only.

  they are internet messenger advertisements and arrive about once an hour.

  these messages arrive over the internet if i leave the connection on, which i do all the time for business reasons.

  if i am working in another program, i have to attend to closing these messages before i can go back to work.

  in most of the world spanking (not beating) is considered a valid form of correction up to a point.

  that point being at the time it is possible to reason with the child.

  i just read a reply on another thread (doesnt really matter which one) in which a person made reference to 2 elders and said that they were not too bright, perhaps inbreeding.

  presumably this was said because the guys acted in a stupid manner in their counseling and were from the american south.

  are southerners really stupid and inbred?
