So what is the current plan regarding what we do on what evenings?
Go on the lash? I'll be around that weekend and am happy to act as chaperone some of the time and steer you round some of the better pubs that aren't full of tourists. Are Witnesses ''allowed'' to attend funeral of a known homosexual? Quotes?
by ThomasCovenant inhelp needed as i can't access my wt cd rom.
is there anything in the society's literature to say that a 'brother' shouldn't attend the funeral of a person who was known to be homosexual.
if so could someone provide references/quotes.

lol depends what you mean by discriminatory! I think they have always differentiated between practising and non practising. They wouldn't permit a civil partnership to take place in a KH, but as they wouldn't allow any nonJW ceremony there it's not discriminatory.

Don't have access to the CDROM just now but have never heard of such a rule.And I'm aware of some witnesses attending the funerals of colleagues who were gay without there being repercussions.

I thought it would be kind of exciting - living in the hills, no meetings or door to door stuff. I was however, very afraid of nuclear war - skin peeling off and bleeding gums apalled me.

I Felt So Much Rage !!
by Maddie ini watched the programme on channel 4 tonight called " the end of world cult", and had an idea what it would be like but i was still badly affected by it.
perhaps it's the way i am feeling at the moment, but to see the self-named michael travesser proclaiming himself to be the son of god was mortifying.
he manipulated his pathetic deciples (mainly women), for his own narsistic perversions, while they obeyed his every whim with glazed expressions.

I just felt immensely sad for them. Particularly his son who looked utterly crushed when it was revealed that his wife and father were sleeping together. I wonder how they'll cope when Armageddon doesn't arrive this Saturday as Michael predicted.
While they bore very distiant similarities with the JWs, they really are a cult of a different magnitude.

At what age would you dicuss homosexuality with your children?
by llbh inon recent a thread a poster here discussed about having discovered his daughter was gay.
whilst reading this my 11 year old son was looking over my shoulder, and reading along with me, some of the discussion was quite adult but respectful .
so i began thinking what age would you discuss these things?

The thread's intriguing. I don't think our friends have had to discuss homosexuality with their kids yet, but the kids we see most often (ranging from 4-8 years old) know that we are a couple and that we love each other like their parents do and they don't seem baffled or confused. One of them is very keen for us to get married.
My advice is for you all to get some gay friends, even Save My Soul.
