Where and when did you go to the school Ross?
I went in Glasgow in '95.
everytime you go to an assembly or to a convention or the co pays a visit, there's always a call for people to pioneer.
they always drag out a couple of pioneers on to the stage and "interview" them.
the one question they always ask is if the pioneers have any regrets over pioneering.

I pioneered for 2 years. We lived a fantastically slacker lifestyle drinking endless amounts of coffee, going to the cinema, art galleries and just hanging' out. And I met a great range of people from heroin addicts to lord advocates. My report was always just over or under 90 hrs and bore no corelation to what I had actually done which was probably about 25 hrs. Thankfully, I was responsible for no one's assimilation.
a bunch of people at work were talking and it was amazing who some of them knew (or had a connection to...).
so, do you have a claim to fame?
mooch off an association?
I was on the Rolf Harris Show aged 9.
Mulan, wasn't Diana's maternal grandmother that right old bitch that colluded with the Queen Mother in arranging Diana's marriage to Charles?! We can't choose our relatives!

rumor has it that they are going bankrupt..
Hi Ruby
Just noticed a headline in a paper that said Dell's profits have gone up by 24%. They should last long enough to sort out your company's computer probs.
1. In bed dozing to the morning news. Thought I'd maybe dreamt it.
2. Washing the dishes when there was a news flash on the radio about a plane crash in NY. Turned on the tv in time to witness the second plane hit. Felt guilty being so transfixed and wanting to see as much footage from as many angles as possible.

In my (albeit limited) experience, the outward symbols of an individual's religion do not necessarily cause problems, at least they didn't in my childhood (the 70s & 80s) nor do they at the schools my nephews currently attend, nor do they in most workplaces. I have never it found offensive to be educated alongside, or work alongside, someone wearing a head scarf, a cross, or a turban. I do agree with Dansk that education should not be segregated.
It is true that if you go to another country you are expected to obey their laws, but France is instituting a new law that affects its minority citizens who are not visitors and the law didn't exist when they moved there or were born there, hence the objection. Yes, they should comply with the new law, but the reaction to the ban will outweigh the benefits of neutral classrooms.
Will this apply to Universities?

I have to say that I am uneasy with this decision.
Simon, in what sense are the yarmulka and turban connected to "religious bigotry and dangerous cults"?
.
jewish leaders want a monopoly over the spiritual life of the jewish people, and do not want them to learn about the liberating faith of christianity because jewish leaders would lose their power.

Simon, that's off topic!
