Don't get me wrong, I'm as guilty as the next guy. I love reading on here, Lurking if you will (I am a woman of very few words) but you know, I still remember what those anal warts (elders) would say at meetings about "apostates" etc. Do you think we're just playing the part because we left the org, I mean, do you get what I'm saying? Just something I've been thinking about.

Cave art was purely religious, and part of a cult tradition of the paleolithic people.
Read about Shamanism.
The primitive humans would "Paint" pictures of bison being slain or herds of animals. Then they would go out, hunt, etc. IF the hunt was a success then the picture was deemed "lucky" in a sense, and drawn over and over again to ensure the hunt was good. If they ran out of wall space, they would draw over the best ones, trying to make them better. ^_^

The lesbian Doth Encounter thy Elders at BORDERS BOOKS!
by NaruNaruChan inyes, the headlines are true.. last night, after getting my hair cut wayyy off (i have a faux hawk guys, it's cool to be butch) i went to borders for my usual perusal of porn (kidding, i bought a cookie from mrs. fields and it was the only other warm place open in fresno).
upon entering the back doors of borders, my girlfriend and i felt an immediate presence of pure evil!
you know, the kind only a jw can put off.

Yes, the headlines are true.
Last night, after getting my hair cut WAYYY off (I have a Faux Hawk guys, it's cool to be butch) I went to borders for my usual perusal of porn (kidding, I bought a cookie from Mrs. Fields and It was the only other warm place open in fresno).
Upon entering the back doors of Borders, my girlfriend and I felt an immediate presence of pure EVIL! You know, the kind only a JW can put off. I looked up, and to my surprise, there was the old MS that used to flirt with my girlfriend!!!! He made eye contact with me, and gave me a condescending smile as he turned away. I was like, "" bigtime, because for a brief moment I got intimidated and turned tail. My girlfriend was like "Where r u going ???"
So I said "There's an elder and an MS here, I got a little uncomfortable because I don't like 'em." So she goes "That's not the Gayle I know... c'mon, watch this." So we walked past them, and she says really loudly "I NEVER UNDERSTOOD WHY ELDERS HAD SUCH CHIPS ON THEIR SHOULDERS. S**T, THEY AIN'T GETTING INTO HEAVEN WITH THAT ATTITUDE ANYWAY, AND BESIDES, ELDERS ARE SUCH BASTARDS."
She looked them both in the eyes, smiled and walked away. It was GREAT!! (Mind you, she's a little mexican girl, real pretty and dressed up. So it was FUNNY AS HELL)
Anyway, we bought some nasty sodas and walked out while they sat in the cafe, red-faced and trying to hide their stupid looks.
I felt immature... but I FEEL GOOD ABOUT IT!!!!!!!

I absolutely hate when they (the society) tries to write about things they don't understand, such as AIDS. They always chalk it up to immorality, and say Armageddon will cure it (because it'll blow all the people with AIDS up, that's the implication)

csu, fresno is known for having quite a few anti-gay unspoken truths, so i decided to help out our community a little, and volunteered to speak to some of the womens studies classes about homosexuality.
it was pretty damned awesome, because we educated a lot of people about what being gay is... and, we also educated a few witnesses, thanks to me.

If the young woman who raised her hand still has doubts about what you are saying, it would seem as if this professor could help. Since the professor is not an x-jw, she might be more inclined to believe her. I could picture the woman's grandma saying 'oh, that girl is an apostate, don't pay attention to what she says'.
Yeah, if I get a chance I'm going to refer her to that professor. It was so weird to hear even the professor say "good lord, the stuff they put those witnesses through is hideous!" And this is an educated woman, psychologist, etc. She was cool.

CSU, Fresno is known for having quite a few anti-gay unspoken truths, so I decided to help out our community a little, and volunteered to speak to some of the womens studies classes about homosexuality. IT was pretty damned awesome, because we educated a lot of people about what being gay is... AND, we also educated a few witnesses, thanks to me.
Generally when we run these panels, there are three gay students on the panel who introduce themselves, and then we run it as a question and answer panel. One of the questions we got was "how did your religions feel when you came out? " So generally the group looks to me for answers to the religious questions.. .so I related my story about leaving the JWs and I noticed a few faces in the back grimace when I said X JW to the class... and one of their hands shot up, so I called on her and she's like:
"I don't understand how you can say the JWs did that to you (refer to my coming out story way back on this forum) because i'm not baptized and I hang out with them and study with them and they are nice to me. " so I told the class of LOVE BOMBING, and how they are nice to u untli you're under their regime... She spoke with me after class and i referred her to this site as well as freeminds.org I wonder if she's reading this...? ^_^ Hope so. Either way, I told her that I had no reason to lie to her because I don't care about JW s anymore... but i didn't want to see someone make the same mistakes as me. She's a single mom, so I told her how single mom's are received in the congregation, the unspoken shunning they face, etc. She was in shock, so she told me she's going to talk to her grandma ( a jw) about it... I told her that her grandma will tell her i'm a liar and an apostate and not to listen, but gave her freeminds.org to check out.
Then, later laast night I gaave another paanel to a rehabilitatve therapy class for the masters program, and when I mentioned I was an ex jw, the professor goes " AH HA!!!! " turns out she has a lot of JW clients she tries to get out of the organization because she can SEE the mind control in the teachings and how it limits people's potential... so now I might be giving panels to the rehabilitave therapy classes on JWs . *LOL*

Holiday decorations on the Kingdom Hall

if we had a mass movement and bunch of apostates went to as many kh in their cities and threw some decorations up?
