Ever want to just name, names?

any of you ever get to thinking about old friends (and the possibilty there posting or lurking here) and just want to give them a shout out?

just be like hey i was your star trek buddy we saw all the movies together.

or remember we used to hang out at the comic book store?.

I've thought about it, but I always chicken out. I always look at peoples profiles in the hopes that they are someone I knew, or may know some people I knew. Even the ones from the area I'm from don't seem to know anyone I knew. I was in 6 different congragations and knew people from all over.. so you'd think somebody would know someone... oh well.

If I think someone here might know people I knew, I usually send them a pm, but I rarely get responses (maybe they never get them?)

I'm not even sure why I'd like to have that connection, there are very few people from that life that I would care to see again, and they are all still in.

My Vacation

got home last week, took some time to recover but now i'm 100% back.

the weekend before we left i got sick with a cold, the day before we left my wife got sick too, upon arrival in london we tried to keep to our schedule, taking lots of different meds to try and get better but between the flight and going out in the cold made it hard to get better.

our fourth day we took a flight to dublin, (i was suppose to meet up with derrek) however my wife and i thought it wouldn't be nice to get him sick like us, we did our best to keep up with our tours, dublin castle, guinness, st. patricks, dublina, tour to wicklow, i've always loved ireland such a beautiful country and very warm people.

Sounds like an awesome trip! Too bad you guys were sick, but I bet you're glad you didn't cancel it.

Welcome!!

Do you have family that is still "in"? That's the hardest part for most, that and the "unconditioning" especially for those that where raised in it. Trying to find reality, realizing "worldy" people aren't evil, getting a social life... facing death without paradise...

I guess the question is.. what brings you to JWD? Just knowing that there are others out there, like myself, who have gotten past this religion and have "normal" lives can be a help. I know that's the biggest draw for me.

Oh, and that woman in the news, seen it before, but can't say it enough times... SCARY!!! She is so psycho looking!!!! She creeps me out!!

Had a funny day told a guy to go away

some guy came in today and his audi is using oil as most do.

he was upset i charged him for 2 quarts.

he swung at me and i stepped away and told him to have a good day.. as he left the shop he ran against a red light and got hit broadside i laughed like crazy .

i've been kind of sad the past few days for several reasons, but, there are certain songs that just cause the tears to flow whenever i hear them (and especially alone).

i know that this song is often linked to the sept 11 attacks, but it really is just so hauntingly beautiful.
