  For those of us with active JW parents

  there seem to a commonality around here about active jw parents shunning us.. my question is: if your parents weren't a jw, do you think they would be normal, act kindly, be a real parent to you?

  or would they still be cold and callused towards you, controlling, etc.

  my thought is this, so many times i used to think i wish my mom wasn't a jw because then i thought she would be this wonderful caring mother that i could go to lunch with, share shopping days with, recipes, and we'd be close.

  I Love It When The Words Are Wrong..

  my old boss was forever going on about us being careful "not to set any presidents".. hl's friend's ex-hubby needs some surgery on his knee to have "his cartridge removed".

  she's signed an affy-david as part of the divorce process.

  meanwhile he spends his time in night clubs watching the cadbury.. jenny, the pub's landlady, took the quiz a couple of weeks back and questioned us about "far from the maddening crowd".

  Anyone watching Survivor this time?

  the finale is this coming sunday, already.

  i am pretty surprised how fast it seems to have gone this time.. anyone have a guess as to who will win?.

  i think twyla.............but last week i thought ami had it all wrapped up and she got voted off.

  Next season should be Survivor "Washington". Stick them in Olympic National Park Nov-Dec and let it pour on them non-stop for 39 days.

  I don't have any kids, but this year I am buying gifts for my husbands family, about 20 people. I set my spending limit to no more then 40.00 a person. I know, I'm cheap... But I don't want to be broke next month.
