  how many ppl here grew up entirely surrounded by jw's?

  all of my family and any friends i have had my entire life are jw's and now that i am df'd i have no association.

  for my ex who also got df'd he's ok because his group of friends (my old group as well) have pretty much faded out, but as for me i have no one.

  I also grew up surrounded by jw's. My entire family are all still 'in'. Although I am not df'd or da'd I am shunned to some degree by my family. I never had alot of close witness friends, but when I started my fade, I had no one except my husband. Growing up as a JW also left me socially retarded so for a while I had a really hard time making new friends. Overtime I made a few really good friends, and they treat me waaay better then anyone from the congregation ever did.

  I am sorry your feeling so lost. It gets better, I promise. Hang in there. =)

  What's the best way to FADE away from the JW's?

  what do you think is the best way to fade away from the jw org, without being df'd and without being bothered by them?.

  just stop going and not answer their calls?.

  change congregation, and never show up?.

  I changed congregations, but I don't think my publisher card ever made it there. No one has ever contacted me about it, so I guess no one cares anyway. The only issues I have are with my family, but I think they are finally accepting the fact that I'm never ever coming back.

  i am very nervous about being in here.

  i just got df'd last week and am unsure of how i feel about it.

  i feel guilty but at the same time not.

  Do you exercise or do anything special to physically look your best?

  i walk alot in the summer time, usually about 5 miles a day when it's nice.

  i never eat too much, so i don't gain weight.

  a few days ago, i bought 2 ten pound dumbells and elastic bands and hand grips at walmart... i exercise with that about an hour a day.

  I work out out 4 times a week. Yoga and pilates. And I get alot of exercise doing yardwork.

  I pretty much eat like a piggy piggy though. =)

  This is my 'lord baltimore' hibiscus. The flowers get 10" across. Blooms late july-august.

  nicolaou: I just planted a fig tree a couple of weeks ago. You don't see many of those in this state. I bought mine from a place that sells only tropical plants. It just started getting eaves last week. I hope it gets figs... not sure what to do with them though.

  We should all share pictures of some of our favorite plants in our gardens. =)

  The Rabbit Thing..

  i'm really sorry to hear about liquidsky's loss of her bunny.. however, virtually every woman i speak to these days says she wants a rabbit for her birthday.

  they seem to be really popular.

  one woman i know won't even go on holiday with her parents because she can't bear to be parted from her rabbit.. are rabbits taking over the world?
