When English was a language that wasn't gender neutral like its mother language (ironic) countries and large, majestic objects had grammatical genders. Countries, boats and large houses were referred to as "she" because back when English had gramatical genders, these itens had feminine nouns. We still have remnants of gramatical gender to this day, hence why countries are referred to as "She" and the moon in our language is usually referred to in poetic terms as "he".

What keeps you from killing yourself?
by AlmostAtheist inevery once in a while, the whole "futility of life" thing washes over me and something inside of me mentions the suicide option.
not that it's ever seriously considered, but one of the low-level accounting-types in my head quietly sends around a "worst-case scenario" memo that everyone reads, then dismisses.. after all, things always perk up.
"but," reminds the pessimistic little guy that should've been fired years ago, "they always go back down, too.

I have the same problem too with women. They think because I'm soft spoken, intelligent and I put high values on valor, I'm a boring, nice guy. What they don't know is if I wasn't soft spoken and gentlemanly, my rebellious and outright mean attitude gets out of control. I can be a bad boy at times. In fact, those were my late teens and early 20's. But I've settled down and I don't want to start anymore shit.

It was all my Dad's fault!
by whyamihere indad came down this weekend to party with my brothers and i....... we have this huge on going july 4th party(all weekend) in my town called "river front rendezvous".
everyone goes for the food, beer, and bands.
little big town(country band) firehouse(go to love the 80's) were just a few that played there.

Do you sense change within the Watchtower?
by truthseeker ini have had the feeling this year that change is underway in brooklyn, but not change that would benefit the membership or lighten their load.. this is change in response to a) economics and b) readily available information on the internet.
there was a recent post about a speaker at the dc in norway who said that as soon as some bad press about jw's goes online, it flashes up on apostate screens all around the world.. consider the cano incident and then lisa's interview with jr brown.
how many people have since listened to that information?.

Personally, I think dating somebody off of JWD would disobey one of my cardinal rules, which is "Don't sh*t in my own backyard." But I'm going to go throw my hat in the ring anyways.
I'm 5'10" 167 lbs, of mixed racial origins, 1/2 black, 1/4th South Asian, the rest Native American, White and Semetic.
I do martial arts and I'm a major health nut. I'm still in college (I thought college was evil when I was in my late teens)
