Originally, I went Ovo lacto it was for health until that little voice in my head told me that I could eat, drink and live without having to kill an animal and it was wrong to use them when there are non violent alternatives out there. There's enough violence in the world. Including from me. I just like being on the direct wholesaler's side of violence, not on the retail or consumer side. And also, those flax, calcium and yeast supps are a godsend for me, Re: Vitamin B12 and omega fatty acids.

All kidding aside. I'm vegan. I'm also in great shape. I don't lack any vitamins because my daily diet of beans, tortillas and rice, lentils, curry and rice and or veggieburgers and protein-fruit shakes have given me a BMI of 20 and a 6 pack. I don't use leather nor eat meat or animal products because I believe humanity can exist without them.

Guilt trip on R&F if you don't preach

there is a certain feeling in the air,that you must preach and to knock on doors.they like to as an example,if you know that there's a tornado or some bad weather is coming and you don't say anything or warn the people,you bear resonsibility for the lives lost.the wbts looks at it the same way.thus the gulit trip for not going from door to door.. now this is about as stupid as a queer in a whorehouse.the gb of the wbts should be guilty of not warning the people,by modern technology methods.they should be using,t.v.,radio,internet,satellite etc.not this bull dung of going from door to door.how would they like it if a tornado hit their new printery in wallkill,n.y.

and the government sent troops form door to door to warn their volunteer workers.how about their properties in brooklyn,n.y.

so don't give me this guilt story of preaching from door to door as the most effective.just look at the history of how many people lost their lives in the past due to tornados because they did not have the modern technology of warning people as compared to today.get off you high horse and if you think your message is so important to warn people than use the proper methods.. bob.

Actually, the JWs are more like a people who predicted massive F5 tornadoes to go through Oklahoma City on a certain day, but instead, saw a cold air funnel touchdown in an open field a day later in rural Oklahoma, knocks on people's doors and tells them that time is short and to get to their basements. Meanwhile, modern technology is out there that describes the door knocker's past failed predictions.

sitting down to whatever is dished up in front of you and eating it.

it requires very little brain power or imagination.

you just shovel in the food, burp, pat your tummy and no matter what it is you've eaten think it's a great meal.. being a free thinker is like a chef, the one who gets to construct the meal, thought is required, knowledge of what works together is required, a desire to cook the meal, imaginiation.. .

It's like being on Seroquel. You're always in a dream like state, you don't have any real feelings, you eat anything you see, and if you try to think, you get a headache. Only when you stop taking Seroquel, you realize that it's destroying your life.

Ahhh... the old "Texas Sharpshooting" logical fallacy. A more logical explaination to this would be:

In 1914 and 1942, the political climate around the world was shaky at best. In 1914, most of the western world was moving from being governed by monarchs to being governed by congresses, parliments and other sorts of republican and democratic forms of government. Examples of this phenomenon were countries like Prussia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria-Hungary, the Ottoman Empire and Russia. The people were being made into serfs for too long and they were tired of it. They were looking to revolt. The powers that be on the other hand wanted to keep their stranglehold. It was an uneasy balance that could fall apart at any time. The Archduke was assasinated and the powers that be, fearing that they would look impotent to the people, waged war on each other. Any idiot at the time could see that the world was going to change from being governed by royals to being governed by parliments and congresses. The WT simply stated the obvious.

In 1942, colonies all over the world were sick of being controlled by countries that were thousands of miles away from them, not to mention too that Germany wanted to become a colonial power. Everybody knew that Hitler was one day going to try to conquer Europe. It didn't take a genius to figure that out. It also didn't take a genius to figure out that the colonial empires of many western nations were in danger of collapsing. Add to that a global depression and you had yourself a powdereg.

If you apply logical thinking to the WT's predictions, you can simply see that the WT were good guessers and not prophets nor guided by god. For anything that didn't fit their prediction, they simply moved their facts to fit their predictions, hence why the world didn't end in 1914, but Jesus simply "came invisibly" instead. They simply did what "mind readers" have been doing for centuries. Except for the letting children bleed to death, not informing the police about child molestors in their mists, latent racism, etc.
