also allocate additional funds for the nps.. downsize the millitary and focus more on special ops to fight terrorism abroad and intelligence gathering to that end.. push for the legalization of marijuana and establish a legal smoking age like alchohol.. give more money and resources to the national endownment for the arts... push for a national initiative to place free internet pops in poor or disadvantaged areas of cities/states.

As for your pop idea, why should we build a network for the disadvantaged when ISP service is within their means? ISP's around here run about $7.50 a month for dialup.
Not broadband, but it gets you online.

So what would happen if we got invaded or attacked? We just send a smaller army to fight the country that invaded or attacked us? Smart.....

Or better yet, keep it illegal. Weed just wouldn't be weed without it being illegal. It would be just like liquor.

There is a way, but I'm sure the other Mr. Bush wouldn't like it. It's called nuclear energy. No terrorist-supporting fossil feuls, no inefficient wind power, no riperian ecosystem-damaging hydrodams.

I would be remembered for bringing a flat tax and making all except the richest 30% exempt from the tax. I would be remembered for making congressmen only earn the mean salary of the people they represent. Senators twice that. Presidents earn 3 times as much as the mean salaries of what the people make. And I would make it an unwritten tradition that presidents donate their salaries to special causes, because you and I know that presidents earn more money when they get out of the White House than when they're in. I would be remembered for cracking down on abusers of the saftey nets we have, so the real people in need could use them. And I would eliminate porkbarrelling.

Old JW books & Apostate literature
by AuSet ini had a funny experience at work the other day.
i'm working at a christian college for the summer as an electrical apprentice....we've been in the library for the last couple of weeks, and i happened to discover several old, old jw books (the old paradise lost book, and many others) right alongside of crisis of conscience, and several other "apostate books" .....whoo hoo, was i excited!
all the jw literature had taped written warnings on the outside of the book covers, saying "do not read for any purpose other than to study the jw religion!!

I waited for the congregation bullies to be taken care of by Jehovah.
It took an omnipotent god 8 years to take care of a problem I would have taken care of with a crowbar and a nasty attitude in 5 minutes.
