My wife took her first communion this year. Quite a step for her. She was humbled that everyone is treated like an equal and accepting or not you do not gain or loose status. It is between you and God.

Easter in the Church we attend is about remembering what happen in that day of loss. It is not about numbers, status, and who gets to rule the earth. If I ever do go to a "Memorial" you can rest assured that my entire family will be partaking (if they wish it) and not being a dumb sheep.

Personally I would like to see every X show up and partake in one big act of defiance!

Ouija Boards

well, i was talking on the phone to my best friend and we started talking about aliens, spirits, etc.

and eventually we got around to discussing the ouija board.

since i was raised a jw and have only been out a year, the ouija board was of course forbidden and even a little scary.

You are the first person to ever just have the the icon just go off the board. (((oh))) I am not alone any more. My Mom used to make fun of me because it did not work with me. She said that I was faking it and just moved it off myself. But I didn't. At parties my friends and classmates would be playing with it and someone would call me in and then it just slowed and stopped answering questions. They would ask are you all relgious or something? Even if I touched it alone it just moves off the board very slowly. It is the weirdist feeling to have that pulling sensation under your fingers.

Question- do you fear "demons"?

I don't never have. I also do not believe in the very concept of the invisibe jerk with a bif pitchfork wispering sweet nothings in all humans ears. We are quite capable of being evil or good all by ourselves. J.M.O.

just heard on the news the spanish navy got a tip from us intelligence and with that info seized a north koran ship loaded with 12 scud missiles on its way to yemen, with a final destination of iraq or iran.

look like bush called it correctly, an axis of evil indeed.. .

#1 Thank you for your posts. I respect what you say.

But, I think that it is a waste of time to try to explain to some of the people here the little things like...Yemen is on the list of Nations that harbor terrorist groups. The ship would not cooperate with the Spanish (Navy?) Who stopped the ship BTW. It was not the US. And, President Bush is the Elected President of America. This may come as a shock to some but the American President is not in charge of the world. Nor is he responsible for it. But the safety of the USA and their allies is his responsibly. The US is also setting the future forum for the UN and policy in dealing with rouge groups that do not have borders. What the US does will be avenue that other countries will follow.

Some of the people here clearly support the idea that using terrorism as policy is acceptable and no different from US policy. They think that we have to get the world's permission to take a piss. (In international affairs) They are wrong. I support the current administration and I think that putting those missiles in the hands of that country would be very bad. But that is just me. I hope these morons still hold on to dub thinking and stay out of the voting booths.

second kings, we learn that menahem, leader of the israelites, smote all the people who refused to follow him and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up (2 kings 15:16).

later, in hosea, we learn that because the land of samaria rejected god, samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her god: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up (hosea 13:16).

hosea decided to carry out gods vengeance on the people by killing the unborn babies carried by the heathen women.

Is that not always the case? I have not seen to much fire and brimstone in my little life. God has never built much that I see. We do it. As it should be.

Too many people keep running to Mommie for the things that they should do for themselves. They cannot take responsibility for the wickedness that they have done. So, they blame it on the will of God, Jehovah, YHTH, Allah, The Easter Bunny, the other guy, even "My dog told me to do it." Anyone but themselves. That is the origonal sin. Of course Adam is going to eat the apple DAH! God is not a moron.(Debatable?) But after he did and he knew right from wrong he could not take resposibility. He said "The Woman tricked me." And men have been unwilling to shoulder their wrongs squarly where they belong ever since. It is not God that is wrathful. It is our own guilt and the sorrow that we cause that creates hell right here on the 3rd Rock.

Is it right for a child to get it's head bashed against a building in Kosevo? Of course not. There is no justice for that kind of crime. There is only sorrow. Genocide is a horrible thing and it happened thought the 20th century and before. Even the Indian genocides in North America; the Indians said that it must be the will of the great maker. It is not. It is the will of us. On either side it is the will of us.

First I'm going to see if there is any coffee in heaven because if not then I am going back to my coffin. 2nd I am going to be so amazed that The Big Giant Head actually does exist that I will be speechless. Then me and God are going to have a little talk about this whole invisiblity thing cause that is just not cool. After that when I get my rubber stamp to get the big APPROVAL from Him that is then we will see cause I ain't been to never never land before.

I made peace with myself a long time ago. There is no more self wrath, self loathing, self doubt, or, self judging left in me. I AM doing just fine. I do the best I can. And, that makes my God happy. His secretary even said "Thank You" to me a little earlier.

Ouija Boards

When I touch a Ouija the little slippery disk just slides off the board. When I was around my friends using them the disk did not do much just hardly moved; and they had me leave the room.

I had one on a shelf for years as a teenager because my friends parents would have had a stroke if they found one in their perfect angels rooms. When my wife and I were dating she tripped that I had one. I told her that they don't work for me but we can try if she wants. She called no joy. Don't know where it went. Don't really care either.

There that is all I know.

I was wondering about something. As I understand it as a Jehovah Witness one was to "WOJ" as opposed to seeking justice. I also understand that to mean leave it to the Elders and Headquarters. Now that you are free or at least out of the circle as defined by the WT how do you feel about things like freedom and justice? Is justice something that you would seek to right a wrong? The Elders were the arbitrators of all things before. Whom do you turn to now? Does it bother you to make your own decisions? Do you still have the aversion to politics and talking about world issues without the intent of indoctrination? Would you try to dodge a draft? Does it bother you to either stand alone or with could you support a Nation? (Sorry I have about 100 more questions but I will stop there) I have carried this with me since as long as I can remember. For me it represents my love of freedom, individuality, the right to seek justice, and responsibility to myself and others to be the best that I can be.
