Lessons of the FOOL
by manon inthings are not always as they appear!
usually when we think "fool" we imagine a simpleton, someone who is out of touch with reality or an object of social ridicule.
the common celebration of april fools day is a reflection of this attitude--we pull pranks and try to make our friends look silly--just for fun.

"May Innocence find wisdom". The fool has no agenda of his own and no axe to grind....he waits receptively, making himself open and available for the next magical opportunity.
So...especially when the sky is falling...the Fools strategy is wiser than it might seem to the casual observer. He holds to his own innocence rather than finding others guilty. He is not brooding or thinking too much. He is pure, optomistic potential, spontaneous and ready to be activated for the greater good.
The Fool embodies the spirit of spring, which represents hope and new beginnings.
I came accross this little article today it seemed interesting to me. I hope you enjoy it.

Do You Regard This Place As A Rehab Centre?
by Englishman into clarify:.
on this site, and others, i regularly come across people who say they are "moving on", or "getting a life for themselves", or simply stating that they have "outgrown this place".. now, i'm not talking about people who have simply got bored with posting, or are cheesed off with someone else and decide not to post anymore.
i'm talking about ex's who have come here purely as some sort of therapy exercise and believe that, once recovery is achieved, that "moving on" is a necessary conclusion to their re-adjustment back to normality.. in other words, like sandra bullock believed in "28 days", they assume that leaving is a sign that they are no longer operating dysfunctionally.

No, not for me. I was born a jw and left the org at the age of 17 in 1980. I've had many years of soul searching and made my peace with my religious upbringing years ago. I didn't have therapy sessions or books or the internet to find myself or the truth about the jw's. I had to use my gut instict. I used to call it gods voice.
My brother came across this web site on Sept 2002 after the silent lamb march in nyc at watchtower hq. He came to me with this river of information that we never new exsisted.
I've learned lots of things since visiting this site. It's a different kind of congregation. Many of the stories I've read are similar to my own and some are very different.
One of the things that attracted me to this forum was the wild use of color and pictures. I was also able to relate to the jw lingo. Another thing that I enjoy is the different nationalities, It's like one giant assembly every day. Persons from other countries and even other states of the usa bring a flavor of their own ideas and culture so different from mine.
Yet the base is the same jw related. I also appreciate the humor and intellegence that posters posses . Even the bickering is educational. This place it's like a daily xjw newspaper that I can contribute to or just read all about it. This site is a tremendous communication tool.

All of Lisa's faults! (And all of yours, too!)
by LDH inwell i got the impression from teejay that i can come across as supercilious; that i don't think i have any faults.
so for the sake of posterity, i am herewithin listing all of my faults (that i know about, lol).i frequently don't explain my thoughts thoroughly; i'm in a rush and just try to write down what i'm thinking at the moment.
this leads to unclear reasoning when others read my words; on more than one occasion, i'll admit.i'm too quick with the sarcasm.
