as we entered a door of the administration building we did not head to the elevator to take us up the eight floors to the main administration floor.

i was going to work with the elder from hell who ran the photography department.

1. have an apostate food truck outside with free burritos and shasta cola.. 2. wear a smurf costume and run across the stage.. 3. bikini car wash across the street.. 4. have an old-school breakdancing session on the corner, cardboard and all.

bonus if you do it on a mat made of watchtowers and primary colored book covers.. 5. have a garage sale or flea market in the neighborhood during the afternoon session.. 6. sit in the audience and applaud everything that anybody says - try to get a standing ovation for each sentence of the closing prayer.. 7. put a recording of rap, heavy metal, or other forbidden music on instead of the kingdom melodies.. 8. get fifty of your friends to walk around in the stadium during the session, holding signs that say, "louder please!

When Billy-boy was running for President the first time, my hubby was watching him on TV, and I (still being a loyal non-voting JW) said that I wouldn't vote for "that sleazeball, scumbag" if he were the only person running for president. Hubby, had been thinking "This guy sounds like he has some good ideas, for a Democrat" and after my comment, began really WATCHING him, and began to pick up on what I had observed from clear across the room, while cooking dinner.

Unfortunately, Billy-boy fulfilled my worst, undreamed of expectations. He turned out to be more of a sleazeball, scumbag than I ever could have imagined back in 1990/91 - and observing wifey-poo, Hillary, double goes for her - double more underhanded, double more slippery, double more pure EVIL.

Through everything... do you feel that you learned soemthing?

i am new to the board and have read countless gripes and pokes at "the organization" but i fail to find one interesting question.. in preface... i was disfellowshiped myself over 5 years ago.

in that time, i had done much searching, visited many churches and faithes.. going to some for as short as one session and some as long as 6 - 8 months.

after i felt my search was in vein i stopped attempting to go to these shurches all together.. i never forgot how to pray through.

I learned a lot about the Bible, some true, some false, during the 25 years I was a JW.

I learned that the F(aithful and) D(iscreet) S(lave) lie like anything and turn on you like a cornered rat when cornered.

I learned that the FDS (see above) think they know better than one who says they are of the anointed and partake for the first time, even though they say "Jehovah makes known to the anointed that they have the heavenly hope" and "it is between the (individual) and Jehovah." (Not speaking of myself, BTW, but a sister that I was close to.) They presume to stand in God's place in that regard, and judge that person's motives and calling, not to mention all the other things they judge (with the same judgement that you judge, you will be judged."

I learned that no matter what I did as far as meeting attendance, commenting at meetings, field service, etc., it was never enough.

I learned there was NO LOVE in the Kingdom Hall - a few individuals might show some compassion from time to tome, but the vast majority did not.

I learned that when I researched the Strong's Exhaustive Concordance (which the WTB&TS quotes from extensively) that the WTB&TS had not been faithful to translate the original meaning of the words.

I learned from researching the Strong's Exhaustive Concordance that the WTB&TS added and took away from, and CHANGED the meanings of various verses.

I learned that I could pray to my heavenly father, through Jesus MY mediator (not just the 144,000) and get answers to my prayers.

I learned that I DON'T NEED the WTB&TS, the "anointed" 144,000, the Watchtower magazine or any other publications to learn about my God and Savior other than the Bible.

I learned that I do not need rules, rules, rules and more rules set by arbitrary old men and control freak "elders."

I learned that love of God and love of my neighbor fulfill the requirements of God.

I learned that God is sufficient and fulfills all my desires and longings.

I learned to pray that people like you will find the same FREEDOM and SECURITY and LOVE that I now have.

It is my prayer that Jehovah, the lord and creator of the universe, will open your eyes and set you free.

Could the JW's survive without elders?

what would happen if no one wanted to be an elder?

who would teach the congregation?

who would manage everything in the congregation?

Dubs couldn't survive without elders to tell them how long to wear their skirts, cut their hair, tell them no beard/mustache, ad infinitum... IMO, if they didn't have elders they might think for themselves, and then they would leave the bOrg!

this is my final and very last post after this i will not return here as someone here made something clear to me.

my faith in god and jesus christ cannot and i will not tolerate others who do not believe to attempt to stumble me or change my mind at all.

my faith stands strong and true and none of you can do nothing to change it.. gods word say "do not cast your pearls before swine".
