by KW13 ini remember the other day, someone i'd been friends with for ages asked me if i was an apostate and saw me as an evil influence.
he spoke of what goes on at these sites (as my mum does and other dubs) not realising its just like anywhere, good folks and not good folks.. you ever had a dub scared of ya?

Gary:
Does the term "takes one to know one" apply? I think your words are disgusting and self degrading. You should not so this to yourself.

When you were a witness, did you ever wonder where the GOOD witnesses were?
by BizzyBee ini grew up in the borg and can remember feeling a disconnect with the portrayal of witness behavior in the literature and what i actually experienced.
the stories from the yearbook about people wanting to study with witnesses "thirsty for knowledge of the truth" were so different from the responses i got in the fs, where people just seemed annoyed.
the pictures of happy folk and families of all colors looking toward some ray of light, united in the love for jehoober and each other, did not square with what was going on in my congo.

I have read a lot of the comments about the activities at Bethel as well as at the various KHs and most of the comments are relating to conditions in the 90s and before. Are there any who have stories of recent years or are the younger generation happier with what is going on. There is very little spoken of the Patterson complex. What do they do there? Pray? I have read that all the printing is done in Wallkill,NY. Is this so? etc.,etc.,

are we free?
by nomoreTRUTHplz ini don't mean this is as a debate, but merely an observation.
i have noticed that a lot (not all) of us post and participate in topics that are nothing but arguements and debates over what should be believed.
i have also been guilty of this, but just began to wonder, are we really free?.

AMAZING!!!
Nearly all the responses to this thread are, what I would call , SENSIBLE, UNARGUEABLE, AND TWO POINTS SHORT OF BRILLIANT.
I CONGRATULATE ALL THAT RESPONDED TO DATE. KEEP UP THE GOOD THOUGHTS.
If I had to pick one word to describe the desires of most of the participants on this Discussion Forum, it would "TRUTH".
MY BEST TO ALL

For what it's worth ,Christianity started with the Orthodox and Catholic Churches. THe main break from the Catholic church was made by Martin Luther for the start of the protestant revolution. Taze Russell was a Seventh Day Adventist.
All the churches are part of a belief system, like it or not. If you have the need for what religion offers, most churches can fill that need. Just stay away from the radicals and the cults. Jehovah Witnesses included.
Good luck

I can understand a person who is brought up in the cult, brainwashed by the parents for several years and becomes a believer. On the other hand, a person who is brought up outside the cult and at the age of 25, are convinced, by a total stranger that the watchtower is God's representative on earth and have decided the fate of all the people on earth with times and dates when it will happen is totally incomprehensible. The apt answer to any critcism is they are lying. This to me is the height of ignorance and stupidity. Whew that makes me feel good.
Does anyone know what the new time schedule is for the "end".

This is all well and good but does anyone have Watchtower documents that instuct the members to do what is written here. I have been trying to assemble authentic documents that I can show someone of what is going on. Someone here must have something in that area.

Your prayers and thoughts for Randy!
by Atlantis ini realize that randy watters is not the type of person to want to worry others, especially when it come to his own health.
and i also realize that randy might want to kick me in the backsides for posting this little message.
thats ok, i'll even buy him a new set of boots to kick me with, but for right now if we could take a few moments to send our prayers, thoughts, and perhaps ecards for randy's swift recovery, then i know that randy would certainly appreciate it .dear friends of randy, due to some complications from a pain medication randy was using during an attack of his crohn's disease last week, he became seriously dehydrated and was hospitalized this past thursday, april 13th.

I'm in love with a Jehovah Witness, Is it really a losing battle?
by icon ini have been reading all of the feed back for saddler and the others.
i too have been in a relationship with a jw for a little over a year.
i love her very much but all the abuse i have taken over the pass year from her elders, uncles, grandfather...etc has really taken it's toll on me.

ask her if she wants to marry you or the Watchtower. All the responses given in this thread are ligitimate. There is a heap of experience being donated on your behalf. The watch tower is a cult and as such, the pressure on your future marriage will be enormous, there is no doubt here. Good luck.
