just seen on the british news a commemoration of the soldiers who fought in wwi.. the generation has by no means passed away.

there are 23 old british soldiers remaining, although sadly only 4 were able to attend the commemoration at the cenotaph.

the youngest is still only 104.. so there is hope yet that the prophecy may still be fullfilled.. has to be quick though boys !!.

Hey guys check it out!!!!!!!!!!!It was 1995 that the society changed their mind and cancelled the new system as many of us had been to taught to believe it. The concept of what a generation refers to has been completely changed... refer to WT 11/1/95 pg17 for the exact quote. In hindsight I figured something had to be done to cover their asses because there is NO new system and it is NOT coming....sorry guys. Ray Franz refers to the fact that they would eventually do this way before they actually had in his book "Crisis of Conscience" if youre really interested email me and I will find that quote as well.

yesterday, while i was in sydney for the day with a friend (to have a break and do a girlie shopping day)..............i received a phone call from my brother to inform me that a very special cousin of mine in italy had committed suicide.

i was devastated, she was so special and we had been close.. so here i was driving back from sydney last night knowing a loved one was dead!

Home Alone

here i am home alone........ my hubby works out of town from time to time...it never fails, how even though i am dead tired..i get in bed and think i "hear" something or "see" something....geez...you would think i was 10...scared to death...lol.

i guess i just don't like being in an empty house...does anyone here really like being alone at night???.

For me it doesnt matter if I'm alone or not I still hear things and see things! One night when I could'nt sleep I was up at the computer when I thought I heard someone come in the back door. There is a plaque on the door that jangles a little when the door opens and closes. Well I'm very hypervigilant now and every fews seconds I think that I see something out of the corner of my eye. After a long while of being too scared to get up and check I decide that it's just too scary to stay up so I'll go back to bed where I won't be alone! When I lay down in bed my partner grabs my arm and whispers "Jan lay low....lay low Jan!" I say back to hear in a low frantic whisper "What is it? I thought I heard soemthing too is someone in here, Oh Sh** What should we do?" My heart now is beating out of my chest, my mind spinning out of control about what to do next when I hear my partner softly snoring!! She was talking in her sleep!!! See it doesn't help even if your'e not alone!!!! FlowerPower

Hey Gretchen, Good pick with the ACB referral. They really ARE a great bunch. When my partner and I were first coming out of the BORG and the closet they "sponsored" us to attend a conference that was going on in DC. That was in 1999! What an eye opener that was. It was a great way to put away our doubts about our decision to get out and made our resolve firm to try to help as many more as we could to get out too! So far 3 of our 6 sons are out (of the Borg..not the closet!)We think one may be gay but that is for them to figure out! There is one son who is teetering on the edges and time will tell. We just let them all know that we are no longer bound by the stupids rules and gag orders of the Borg and they are welcome to come to us at any time, we will always be there for them no matter what! Our oldest son is married to an ex JW too and we have a wondeful granddaughter that we just love to pieces!! Glad to hear from the "resident lezzie" (Glad your'e not joking!)Love to pm you a little later, gotta run off to work this AM FlowerPower

Hey anew, Welcome! I can tell you this much, if your Boss is Gay he cannot change that. The "male roommate" for many years makes me think he may be gay but still in the closet especially if he is still a believing Mormon as you say. He would be too scared of the reprecussions of coming out if he is affiliated with the Mormons still or just afraid to say it out loud due to his religious beliefs. That's sad. If he is Bi then you may have every bit a chance with him as the next person so go for it!I would say to continue to get to know him on a more personal level (although it can be a complicated thing to get into to with your Boss)and eventually you will get to know if he is staight, gay or Bi. I have a friend who is Bi and she is really cool. When I first met her she was with a woman, then they broke up and she dated a guy, now their realtionship is on the rocks and I asked her who she would date next she said "I dunno whoever I fall for!" The important thing for her is that she is monogomous when she is in a relationship. That's simple isn't it? Good luck in whatever you decide to do! FP

Contact with long lost relative.

i'm so exited, i just got an email from a cousin i have not had contact with for 15 years.. he was disfellowshipped 15 years ago, and being a good jdub i ceaced all contact with him.

anyway i wrote him letter last week letting him know i'm now disfellowshipped and just seeing how he is going, and he just sent me an email.. he's going to sent me a longer one soon and send a heap of photos.

he also gave me am open invitation to come visit him anytime.

That is sooo encouraging Lehaa!! I too have a cousin that I lost contact w/ when I was DFed. You know it's funy because when we found out about each other(that we were both witnesses) we danced for joy at a baby shower of one of my other cousins, much to our "worldly" relatives chagrin. As we got to know each other better because of our new found commonality I realized that I really did'nt like her that much. We didnt have anything else in common but the Borg, I would call her and we would just breathe into the phone, I suspected that she felt the same about me. She never really had anything to talk about, her life was extremely boring. She lived w/ an abusive husband that I didnt like, her young teenaged son was out of control often in trouble w/ the police. If he didnt make a huge turn around by now he may very well be in jail. Anyway when I wrote to her to "apologize" that I was being DFed she never responded, which added to the hurt. Ya know she was family and although we were different in our personalities, I DO miss her and wish that she someday calls me and says that she is out too. I will make every effort to be a good cousin (whatever that entails)Being non judegemental would be a good start on my part!! Man I was the Queen of Judgement as a witness! There are actually alot of folks that I would have to apologize to if they came out of the Borg!! Oh FlowerPower becareful what you wish for!!
Sorry to ramble on just more hopeful now that my son will someday soon also see the light of day and come out of the Borg. I miss him so much!!!!!!!

I had a visitor!!!!!!

she was a sister that we used to pal around with, we had several dinners together and she and her husband and my husband played cards together.

Because my younger son is still somewhat privvy to what the young jws are up to he keeps me informed as to their comings and goings. There are SO many that are just hanging on so as to not loose their families, but I know as time goes on and they are able to stand more on their own there will be more and more falling away from the cult. (I just hope everyday that my oldest son will too!!!!!!!)It is just good to know that the YOUNG ones are leaving, that makes the whole foundation of the future generation soooo shaky!! I have had quite a few young "gay" exjws come my way looking for support. I am flattered that my "coming out" proved to be a source of strength for others to look at the possibilites! It was no easy task, but one that Ive never regretted!! Thanks for sharing your "good news" Annie! Speak truth, spread the peace Flowerpower

Good luck to you Corvin. My heart goes out to you and other trannies. I am gay and was once so conflicted, I feel your pain of being misunderstood and judged by so many of the narrow minded class. My best to you in your search for acceptance. Ive met a lot of really good people on the ACB site.(A Common Bond) gayexjw site. FlowerPower
