Do you understand how much unspeakable hurt and pain that unjust judicial procedures have brought upon thousands of victims? Do you realise how much you, as a part of the governing body for God's people, have oppressed and weighed down His people? -

Should I hit send button as is? Change? Or just hit delete?
by Lied2NoMore inso after being deleted because of my comment on her instagram post by my sister-in-law i got a text from her stating she didn't want a debate on instagram and the scripture i posted would not apply to satan, they are worried about me, go see elders, return to jehovah, or else you won't get life, etc etc.... i'm ready to respond with the following reply:.
so....hit send?
make changes?

I agree with Captain Obvious. I would just say simply one of your sentences- that the truth will stand up to scrutiny if it is the truth. -

Why people don't believe in God
by pressman indo you want to know why i think people don't believe in god?
well i believe people don't want to believe in god because they are scared.
they know that if they finally do gorge the confidence to believe in him, he might discipline them for their skepticism.

My favourite quote:
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then He is not omnipotent. Is He able, but not willing? Then He is malevolent. Is He both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is He neither able nor willing? Then why call Him God?

Satan a Murderer?
by freemindfade inso took the wives car instead of mine in today, the watchtower was playing, i got to hear t.morris life story as narrated by him, but that is another story entirely... long story short, the study article it went into was about satan.
first of all the person reading sounded like the epitome of a brainwashed drone.
second this is why meeting and hearing these things make me more of an unbeliever than any exjw website.

If you hired a hit man to assassinate someone for you, wouldn't you be held accountable for their murder as well as the hitman? You did (while keeping your hands clean) mastermind the whole thing. -

inheritance
by truthseeker100 ini have a good life and i am now worth around 3 million us.
my two children have their university degrees and a promising future.
what should i do with my money?
-
mgmelkat
If you leave it to them maybe stipulate that it's only to be spent on university for themselves and their kids and only if and while they are attending uni they will receive further funds to support themselves and when they've finished uni they'll get the remainder of their inheritance. -

Do current JWs like to have Bible discussions?
by Magnum inon another thread rufus t. firefly made this interesting comment:.
my wife is a "zealous" regular pioneer who never talks about the bible or "the truth" and who has no interest in conducting a bible study with anyone.
this is how one remains a jw.. i decided to start a new thread to discuss this, since i didn't want to veer completely off the topic of the original thread.. i can relate to what rufus said - not concerning my wife, but other close jw family members.

I love bible discussions!!! My mum doesn't like to discuss the bible with me, she tells me to talk to my father about it. My father slammed shut the door to bible discussion with me years ago. He gets too defensive and quick to name call me for discussing non JW beliefs, so we don't discuss the Bible at all. Sad really. -

Feeling down as Christmas nears
by Quandry ini don't think i've started but one or two threads before.
i find myself sitting here listening to beautiful instrumental christmas music and feeling down.. you see, i was "in" for over thirty years.
thirty years with no christmas.

I used to hate Christmas. I was always reminded of how alone and traditionless our family was, while every family were celebrating together. This year we had our first Christmas (early before we met up with my JWdad) and my JW mum joined us, participated and enjoyed herself. I thinks she feels really guilty about it now though. But for me and my kids- best day ever!!!!

From 1 to 10, how do you rate the value of the Internet in your awakening?
by Hidden-Window inas we all know, the internet is a real game-changer in allowing us to know the truth about the watch tower and its history.
i always had doubts and it was the internet that presented me with the ever-growing number of individuals who were going through a similar struggle.. i give the internet a 9 in my awakening.
what about you?.
-
mgmelkat
9. Like many others I already had doubts and knew something was wrong. Internet confirmed it and put it into words for me.
