whatever you do, are you always the exception to the rule?
does it ever happen that you see a doctor and he can't understand your problem, that you are a unique case that he never seen before?
or if you go to the garage with your car, and have a problem that no one ever had?.

since drinking is a very integral part of vacations, especially in the summer, which remedy works best for you the morning after??
?
Ok here it is !! Never to be repeated (well maybe )
My all time cure for a hang over is this .. first before you start drinking eat somthing fatty .. somthing like chicken wings not to many and somthing that won't absorb the booze
Drink as much as you like .. finish the night up and get somthing more fatty in you like a bacon burger or such. go to sleep and then you should be next to great in the morning ready for another night of partying. I used this all the time and I would party at least 4 nights a week.

i went to my dr. today because my blood pressure was really high.
156/106 and my meds weren't helping to lower it.
can you get over depression without meds?
WildHorses I haven't bothered to read any of the other comments to you about this topic. I think it's important to tell you the facts as I know them. I had quite a bad time with depression and I feel that I had everything I need to fight it, I did take medication for a while .. and it kind of took the sting out of it but I learnt to do without it .. I still get blue from time to time .. but I think everyone does.
Depression comes down to a inbalance of chemicals in your brain. You can fight depression by feeding your body heathy foods that are high in vitamins and minarals. Cut out as much caffine as you possible can and try to maintain a balanced veiw on your day to day events. Getting past depression is by no means easy, but it can be done without medication. I think the decision comes down to you and whether you feel you can cope with fighting it alone.

hearing news on tv about 'peace & security'.........seeing blood sausage in a store............ hearing / reading about hypocrisy exposed in 'worldly religions' .........do you have children at school and instantly react with the immediate no of jw think at every request re after school activities.
do these or other things cause yoiu to momentarily slip back to the thought controlled personality you had with its auto responses.....or have you been able to free yourself from these reactions?
I think we all still have a little bit of JW embedded into us .. depending on how long you lived your life in the JW way kinda dictates how much power it holds. Myself being brought up with the beliefs from birth to the age of 21 I don't beleive I will ever fully purge its hold on me. But not all JW teachings I was brought up with are bad ... some moral standings can do nothing but keep you safe.

i feel the need to express how i feel and felt about my life as a gay man.
i was brought up from birth as a jehovahs witness.
this has played a major part in my life and it has been a real struggle to get past.
Alright I have tolerated this bullsh*t from you guys long enough .. stop using this thread as a means to fight out you own crap .. this thread is about gay issues and my life story .. get it back to the topic or I will speak to simon about having your posts deleted off the thread.
You guys have been around on this forum long enough to know the rules and yet you constantly break them by posting the same post on several threads and also changing the subject to suit yourselves, really I think it's pathetic.

I don't mind answering that at all .. I think I might start another thread about it though ( I don't wanna change the feel of this post anymore than it has.) .. most people proberbly won't be interested but I guess it can be a nioce fluffy thread
But thanks for asking Prisca .. the new thread will be up in a minute or two

I recall an elder making a horrible statement during one of our book studies. We were discussing plagues and he said gay people were disgusting and diserved to get Aids. His opinion made me absolutely sick to my stomach. Actually his comment for the very first step to me leaving the Organiztion; it showed so clearly the absolute lack of love this religion had
I do remember having one of the elders saying the same kind of thing when they came and saw me, he was getting quite angry because I had said I was born gay. After saying that gay people that got AIDS deserved to die because they brought AIDS into this world I said to him that was a disgusting thing to say and perhaps he should go and research a little more about the origins of AIDS and not label a whole people with it. I was clearly digusted with him and my mum agreed to what I was saying at the time to. I was glad that this came up after I had become alot weller, it gave me the strength to actually fight for my rights. I had also said that perhaps one day Jehovah might accept gay people because times have changed, maybe in the new system parts of the new scrolls to be opened up would open up new understandings, surprisingly the other elder said thats a possability. (I think he was rather upset over the way the other elder acted as well)
After he said that it kind of strengthend my faith to fight a bit longer .. only to realise afterwards that it was a fight that wouldn't be and couldn't be won .. why would I want to win it ?

does this make all of us worse that satan ??????.
when replying to a thread started by black man i said something like ........ " after armageddon is over we will all be dead, but satan will still be kicking, and then let loose again after christ's 1000 year reign, so satan already has his get out of armageddon card, he's already thru.
" sounds fair, don't you think ?????????

mine is the old "everything happens for a reason".
when i lost my daughter, i heard this so many times, i seriously thought i was going to punch the next freakin' idiot who said it.
it's just ridiculous.. i also hate the variation "god does everything for a reason".. happyout (whose teeth are still set on edge when she hears that)
That "Everything happens for a reason" is such an annoying statment. And god knows why people use it all the time .. So if theres a reason behind it then why don't you work it out and give it some credability instead of being a braindead f*ck knuckle.
