  I have found a girlfriend, but there is something I've been hiding from her

  all is well and good in my life right now :) with one small catch... i have a secret that i have hidden from my girlfriend.. for the first time since coming out of the borg, i have found romance.

  i was lucky to meet a girl called romilda (name has been changed), and we get on like a house in fire.

  we have been in a relationship for a few days now, but some of my friends have pointed out that i should be honest with her and be straight about my sexuallity.

  Isn't it interesting that the JWS are the ones losing out. That is the ones that have to scrimp and save all year long just to make ends meat.

  I'll never understand why the WTS lets it's members almost starving go without when they keep on raking in the money and properties.

  Oh yeah it's because they don't give a hoot about any of it's members, because their greedy and money hungry. I feel for the non rich

  people going door to door uninvited should be required to get a licence and sercurity check if they are going door to door and required to show it on demand while engaged in the door to door work.. after all it is a perfect stranger for the most part who could be an imposter or maybe even a violent criminal or rapist.

  no one convicted of sexual molestation or violent crimes should be given a permit.

  an added benifit would be less people knocking on your door trying to sell you something be it a vaacum cleaner or armegeddon life insurance protection.. what is your opinon?.

  hi there, this is my first post, but i've been buzzing around this site for years.. i got married at 18, hubby was 20, i was a regular pioneer and we were talking about serving in bethel.

  fast forward - i left in 2004 after a 5 year battle with my conscience, family and friends who kept insisting that i was just "weak and needed to have another bible study".

  however hubby and i stayed together although it was kinda on the understanding that we would just not talk about it.

  By the way good name. I like the point brought out about your children. Please don't talk bad about their dad in front of them.

  They will see for themselves what he is like, time will tell. Thats important because they can turn on you if your not careful.

  I went through a divorce when I was younger, and I never talked bad about their dad. And guess what they saw for themselves.

  So if anything please listen to this if you don't want to turn out to be the bad guy.

  DFing and shunning causes 22-yr old to murder friend

  so i was randomly watching a show on investigation discovery today - the show was called killer next door, and the episode was called murder without motive.. the show is a french-canadian program that has been translated into english, and this particular episode had to do with a homicide that took place in ste-croix-de-lotbiniere, near quebec city, in november 1999 of a young man named victor lemay.. the confessed murderer was his friend, andre roy, then aged 22.. in the year or so that preceded the murder, andre roy had been disfellowshipped from the jws and had, as a result, been kicked out of his parents' home.

  he had no social support outside of the jws and had to start making new friends.

  the psychologists on the program felt very strongly that the shunning he experienced by the jws in general, and his family in particular, contributed to increasing rage, and that his friend, victor, became a convenient outlet for his rage.

  What an enlightening article this was. It's sad to hear this, but like what was said by Flipper, we don't know how many suicides have

  taken place because of being disfellowshipped. Sure would like to know the answer to that question? SAD SAD SAD no matter how
