Sure Paul believed in a physical resurrection, why else would he write about Jesus being 'raised on the third day'. Think about it.

Where was the dead body of Jesus? Did the disciples disappear it?
by opusdei1972 ini am currently an skeptic, but i have to admit that i can't assure that all the stuff of early christianity was false.. for instance, we know that the genuine letters of paul were written before the destruction of jerusalem.
so, paul affirmed that jesus resurrected, though he was not there when it supposedly happened.
but, if jesus did not resurrect, why didn't the jews expose this falsehood?.

There will never, never be Peace and Security here on Earth.
by jam inwho are we fooling, as long as we humans exist there.
will never be peace even under god's rule.. i think god realize he have created a mess and said screw this .
and have left us on our own.. each day there is another crisis, what's next.... there is no solution to bring harmony among mankind, hell.

It worries me that as scientific progress continues more and more nations will get access to nuclear weapons. It's true the world is better than in past centuries but in most of those we didn't have the ability to wipe out that same world.

Atheists and JWs are on the same footing!
by exWTslave inatheists believe that god should stop the large-scale injustice on earth; if he does'nt, then he does not exist.
jws believe that god will intervene sometime in the last days!.
interestingly, both throw themselves on their own expectation of soemthing god should or will do, yet in fact something god does not have to do.

ExWTslave has said he was an elder 2 years ago, sorry but you don't go from being an elder to a college professor of philosophy in 2 years!

I had a Tarot card reading
by LisaRose inso, i am in washinton state visiting my son and his family and we went to a concert that had a fortune tellers booth, actually a gypsy wagon.
i decided to do something no jw would ever do, have a tarot card reading.
i wasn't really expecting anything, as i don't believe they are connected with the satan, but i don't believe they can actually read your future either.

I had a palm reading a few months ago, she got nearly everything wrong, it was actually a little offensive.

I know this is never going to happen ....however , what if ...?
by smiddy incan you imagine what this world would be like today , with 7 billion people , if their were never , ever a religous concept in anybodys mind ?.
wouldnt this world be such a better place to be in if it was devoid of all religion ?.
if religion never existed from the time man/woman first walked the earth until now how do you see , pros or cons , how humakind would fare today.. as i said in my o.p.

Well, it's not like we've never tried the 'utopian society' without religion. How did that work out?

Have you reconnected with ex-JW's after you have left the Borg?
by EdenOne inafter reading from another thread, i felt it was worth asking this question.. if you left the borg on your own, have you attempted to meet others whom you used to be connected with while you were "in", but who have also become ex-jw's before or after you have left the wts?
if that's the case, has it remained a friendship, or the connection grew cold?
just curious as to what keeps friendships "stick" [or not] once you no longer have the borg's doctrinal glue.. your experiences are welcome.. eden.

I have a few I'd like to track down...
I know a really vocal exJW apostate from my old congregation, I've thought about giving her a call but her anti JW tweets are a little much so I've put it off so far...
