ya know...if i insult someone...i generally don't mean it...and i usually apologize for it....the topics that got me in trouble are ones i feel very strongly about.

people i know are in harms way...being shot at...and dying...many here would say there's no meaning to those deaths...which takes the heart out of a soldier and makes it harder for them to concentrate and stay out of harms way.

I think it interesting that sanfranciscojim says that he is more interested in tax breaks and bennefits . I'm not real sure how all that works since I am single but not gay and I sure wouldn't want to marry someone just because of that .

Heathen, I am single and hetero and I could not disagree with you more! I'm quite sure the main motivation for homosexuals wanting to get married is the same as heterosexuals; love. Jim and Gretchen put it far better than I can so I'll just leave it at that.

I think the judges and sea captains that legalize marriages are not performing a holy union ceremony but are merely providing a service that allows for the legal documentation of people who wish to be recognized as married but don't feel religious about it .

This point has no merit whatsoever. What does possible future progeny have to do with marriage? Last I checked you don't need to be married to have children. I'm a single parent and my son shares my last name. People want to get married for many reasons. Number one (I would think) is that they are in love. Numbers 2 through any number are sharing of insurance benefits, the security it provides (including being considered a family member when it comes to hospital situations), legal reasons, the acceptance of being assured that they are not abnormal, and acceptance in general. How is that wrong?

I did something ...really ...really ...bad

as many of you know there has been little friction on the board lately do to some recent deletions and exodus to another board.

in my deep sympathy and feeling of total unconcern about these events i took it upon myself to do something about it.

i planed my strategy using maps, schematics, long ropes, a 12 year old bottle of single malt scotch and about three minutes of planing.

Tyydyy Reunion Update

tyydyy is busy with his brother so i thought i would give ya'll a little update..... they (brother & his wife) stopped by yesterday with tyydyy & his sister who lives here....they are very nice people...seem very genuine you know?

i pulled out the photo albums so they could try in fill in the gap of 20 years..weddings...births..and everything inbetween...i have some photos of when tyydyy was about 3 years old and his brother was in them with him....this is the first time his wife has ever seen photos of him at that age....and as they were looking at the photos he looked up and mused that for 20 years he has had no past...somehow that comment struck me as so sad...to have your past stolen like that....it really brings home the nature of the beast we worshiped for so long doesn't it?.

on a happier note they are off to watch bubbles strut her stuff at cheerleading and then heading to visit their other brother in west texas.... aren't happy endings nice?
