I was recently told by a canadian bethelite that the governing body is sensing that the end is very near and that is the reason they are simplyfing things in Brooklyn.

When I was a doubting JW I sought reasonable, balanced and less emotionally charged information than you provide.

perhaps your years in the borg were less than Dannys and you had less to lose. I know that I feel the same way as Danny many times. You only get one life and when most of it is squandered you don't get it back.
I agree that hate is toxic but it is nonetheless a imperative stage in the process of recovery.

At this weeks district convention apostates were called "disgruntled one" and the "evil slave".
At the meetings apostates are called "wicked".
Oh well, "sticks and stones will hurt my bones but names will hurt me".

i have sent and lent this book to a number of people within the wts, even a co, all of whom left eventually.
one person remained due to domestic issues, but resigned from all his duties and remains as such.

These are my same sentiments. But when I was growing up as a loyal young dub, we did take everything the society said seriously. Many of us denied ourselves a good education because of them.
I see kids in the congregation today making the same mistake. I feel really sorry for them.
