Only spiritually weak individuals bought two door cars. The spiritual jw bought 4 door cars so that they could take others out in service and make themselves available to take others to the meetings with them.

after lurking about for a while i finally decided to join the board.
i have never done anything like this and was amazed at how stressful it was to sign up and press the return key to join up and actually post something.
just a quick bio: 41 year old lawyer who was raised a jw but had the good sense to never get baptized.

Welcome to the board. And good for you for not getting tangled up in watchtowers' web.
I wish I would have had the sense to do the same when I was a teenager.
My heart bleeds when I look at my family and watch how they push themselves week after week trying to get to that elusive new order.
I also hate leaving them behind and this is the reason why my hubby and I still go to the meetings and pretend to be jws.

I did watch to see if his Jw connections would surface, but they didin't.
My Husband and I were wondering why no one has put the connection together. Someone should get in contact with Martin Bashir (spell?) and enlighten him on some facts about jw's and pedophilia.

i read that in the new organized to do jehovah's will book coming out in march at the kh, elders will on say sister so and so is no longer one of jw's.
an elder that i work with said that they will announce from now on joe bloe has been disfellowshipped from the christian cong and is no longer a jw.
or jan bloe has disassociated herself and is no longer one of jw's so they are still going to say df and da but i think they are going to drop the part "conduct unbecoming of a christian" because this can get them into legal trouble when a person goes to the military or votes or takes a blood transfusion.

i just found out that , on my wife's side of the family, the last witness kid has given up!.
he was the very last one in that half of our extended witness family.
ten years ago, i never would have.
I am a second generation Jdub. My husband is also a second generation Jdub.
Both of us have mentally left the org and biding our time until we can make a formal exit.
We have many friends in the org that are on the so called "fringes".
Many of us in this situation have children. Our children are reaching the teen years. I can guarantee that most of our children will not pursue "the truf".
Indeed the exodus will continue at an alarming rate in the next 5 -10 years.
Perhaps it will be our children that will cause watchtowers demise.
I look forward to that day with eager anticipation.
