wondering what to think...i'm recently divorced from my jw spouse ( i was never a jw).
we have a 11 year old son who is being forced to attend meetings and have all the beliefs that ex has.
i'm constantly being told what i should do and i'm supposed to go along with ex on whatever he says because apparently the "head of the family" continues after divorce in his world.
I agree the other fellow posters that they most certainly dating. There was a sister years ago that got disfellowshipped under similar circumstances. They told she was committing emotional adultery in her heart.
And yes he could be disfellowshipped--both of them actually
millie210 posted this on another thread - i thought it deserved it's own op:.
i took an elderly friend to the meeting last night.
the study is in the "imitate their faith" book which is merely a compilation of previous short stories about bible characters that were featured in a series of watchtower articles.. they waste no time beginning their spinning and supposition with the cain/abel story.
That study was dreadful
@exjwsrock-- it really was dreadful. I sat there stunned and thinking how bizarre the material was and how at one time, I soaked it all in.
i was invited to a small get-together by a long time friend.
we both served as elders for years.
he is in his late 70s.
All these tall tales all belong to John Aquila.
But it was an interesting read.

What a hypocrite. If its not about funds as he says at the outset, what it it about then?
Thanks for the bringing this to the forums attention
1. boring as s***e 2. extremely boring 3. boring as hell 4. boring.
5. slightly boring 6. not bad.
7. fair.
i had a discussion with an elder recently.
it was interesting in a macabre sense.
we were outside the kingdom hall on a nice sunny day recently.
The way I see it there are two kinds of witnesses--the ones that are really dedicated and take everything to heart and then there are those that do whatever the hell they want and being a witness is ritual that is done without any thought.
It would depend of what kind of witness your young elder is.
