I'd invite them in and explaine to them the salvation of Isreal in Romans 10. Now we know that Paul(Saul) was a jew and an Isrealite and he knows of his salvation.

The word was a god
by gringojj inwho else supports this translation of john 1:1 besides that johannes greber guy?

Before the nwths the watchtower was stuck on the issue of John 1:1. This is one of the one reasons why they wanted to rewrite the bible. Gerber who was a catholic priest agreed on John 1:1. So did Wilson(Diagott).(Hort & Wescott) Wilson was a christiaphilidelphian.
Those who had other text in John 1:1 had Divine, logoes, ects. were related as ,"And the Word was God." these authors never thought that Christ was, "a god," but God.
And in greek "Theos," means God. Many scholars including a top scholar, who is an atheist made the statement that reads, "The Word was God." He had no axe to grind.
And to top it all off,From about 350 B.C. to 330 A.D.the greek was koine in dialect.
So be it......and the Word was God."

Six Million Can't be Wrong .... part II
by robhic inas a non-jw, i read with interest and amusement the thread "six million jws can't be wrong..." thread.
all great posts but as i was digesting them a thought occurred to me: the jw position is self-contradicting.
i know that's probably not a surprise to ex-jws, but i found it amusing.

here's a catch.......I wrote it up on a different thread...I think....it's following the same question.
it is true that we are jehovah's witnesses......according to Isaiah 43:10......but again Jehovah God was speaking to Isaiah.
Yet in Acts we see that we are to be Jesus' witnesses......"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth."(ACTS 1:8)
So basically the witnesses speaking in Isaiah were the jews. And now since we were to be the gentiles we are witnesses of Jesus.
And here's a sobering thought....if we are to be Jehovah Witnesses, that would mean we believe that Jehovah is the incarnate Christ. and that's no double talk..just straight up.

JW's Are Footstep Followers of Jesus Christ
by Honesty inbecause the watchtower says they are but so far, i haven't seen any tangible evidence from any jehovah's witness i've ever met even when i was a jehovah's witness.
does anyone have solid proof the jw's are doing the things jesus did such as feeding the poor, nursing the sick (baptist, methodist, catholic, presbyterian hospitals are everywhere and are supported in part by donations from christian groups), providing spiritual refreshment to the soul, etc.?.
maybe i'm just not looking in the right places to see any evidence supporting the wtbts's claims that they are christians and following in jesus' footsteps.

But Rand Engine Company Is Not Involved In Developing Warfare Technology
by Honesty inthat's what 2 deceived ms's told a non-dub friend and his jw wife when they mentioned the wtbts owns 51% of a company's stock that is developing engines for the us military.
i know the ms's have the sec report for rand where warfare technology r&d is mentioned because i managed to get it to one of them without him knowing the source from whence it originated.
when my friend (he does all the questioning to keep his wife from getting called apostate) asked them where they got their 411 that rand is not developing warfare technology from the 2 dubs said, "the society told us".

Watchtower Society and Horse Race?

horse breading and the watchtower society?

Last year I found a link concerning the Watchtower Society and a horse race track.Dealing in gambling....?
Yet now I can't find it today. But then again in a google.com search engine I find plenty of sub-stories considering the Race track and the Watchtower......
Even if the Watchtower just supported someone or a group who owned or supported Horse racing, gambling is involved. And if so would the society say it's just like the U.N. scandal?
I heard that only the SHADOW knows for sure....

Thanks Jaffaceake for your comment.......And with Christ all things are possible....And Lawrenance......a Boston Hippy?Cool. San Francisco says, "Hi." I thank---{Society made me do it...lol} those Witnesses for forcing me to look beyond. Now it's my turn, through Christ, for educating them. With Christ, it's being done.
Honesty.....You're being too conservative, hemorrhaging.
Have fun Java.......keep up the good work...........
