There is a rat on this forum
by jesusstolemyhotrod ini think someone on this forum is a rat....or troll as i think they are called.. i am sitting at home last night watching fear factor, and there was a knock at the door.. i opened it to find two elders from my old hall.
they did not seem very sincere when they apologized for disturbing me without notice.. they said the purpose of there visit was to just to check up on me, find out if my circumstances or opinions had changed.
we ended up in a huge conversation about my "inactivity", they wanted to know if there was anything keeping or holding me back from the truth, and wanted to know if there was anything i needed to get of my chest, cause guilt has away of keeping people back.

Might as well get it out in the open and get it over with. There are snoops everywhere and the JW's are the worse. Remember they are doing it for Jehovah (LOL) Live your life the way you want with or without them.. without is the best...

Ever run into a DF'd person & didn't know it?
by DanTheMan in'bout 3 or 4 years before i left the borg i ran into a dub acquaintance that i hadn't seen in a while while grocery shopping.
i was at her congo for 5+ years, and she knew who i was.
as i approached her she quickly looked away and started looking at some items on the shelf.

I have found over the years that many JW's will talk to you if they think that they will never get caught. Email has put me in contact with several of my old JW friends, and all of the ones that I have emailed always email me back. When no-one is around they will talk about the witnesses. The last current witness that talked to me said she had to go and repent to the elders and tell them because she felt guilty.. BRAINWASHING is hard to break...

AWAKE Says We Shouldn't Judge Apostates!
by minimus inthe february 8, 2003 awake has an article entitled:"is there an unforgivable sin".notice the good news for apostates or those who once associated.
"some people who were once faithful christians have purposely drawn away from god, perhaps because of bitterness, pride, or greed, and are now apostate fighters against god's spirit.
they willfully oppose what the spirit is clearly accomplishing.

Rather than judging others, we do well personally to guard against committing secret sins that can gradually harden our heart.
Don't judge others that is funny!! HAHA!! that is all they ever do, judge and condem...

Do You Think That You'll Ever Heal & Recover?
by minimus inafter reading so many touching personal stories of your lives , do you think that one day you will fully recover from being a jehovah's witness?
do you feel that in time, you will be able to heal?
will you ever be able to trust yourself and others?
-

Yes and NO. I thought that I was healed and over them, and then it starts again. I feel that it will always be part of my life, but I am hoping just a distant memory...

Door to door work really being done?
by freedom96 inobviously the witnesses are going door to door, but is it as effective as could be?
in all my years as an adult, only once has any witness come to the door preaching "the good news.
" this is once in over 15 years.

Your right, I really hadn't thought about it but noone has come to my or my mother's door in 5 or 6 years. When I was active we would cover the entire town every 6 months and I would cover every house. Seems like they are SLACKERS now...

When You Were A JW, Were You A Pain In The Ass?
by minimus inhonestly, when you were a witness, were you a pain in the ass?
did you always tend to start trouble, whether knowingly or unknowingly?
were you every elder's worst nightmare?
-

No I was not a pain, but I did date an elder's daughter and he thought I was not "spiritual" enough for her, So I may have been a pain to him HAHA..

They never give up!!!!
by enjoy ini have been da'd for almost 20 years from a congregation in wa i was 18 at the time.
i wanted to leave but the elders would not let me drift away because i knew to many people who were jw's, they told me to either come to every meeting for a month, or they would da me, so i missed the next meeting and they anounced that i was da'd.
the sad thing is that no jw ever knew what happened they all thought that i da'd myself even my sister, but oh well!!!!

Thanks Gizmo,
I have been reading this site for almost a year now and I finally decided to join and post, the reason I went to them, I was courious I guess. I wanted to see what they wanted and I never turn down a good challenge, I use to walk away from life, but now I hit it head on. Yes they were over-weight and they did not answer me they just asked me to leave. They must have seen that I was not one of there little followers..... NO WAY....

The sad thing is that no JW ever knew what happened they all thought that I DA'd myself even my sister, But OH WELL!!!! I moved to AR to get away from them, and now 20 years later the elders here in AR called and wanted a meeting with me and I thought Why not? So I went to the Kingdom Hall last week and 2 of the elders jumped me for talking to a woman at work and not letting her know that I was DA'd. I told them that it was none of thier business what I did or didn't do with my life. They proceeded to ask me it I smoked cigarettes, and I asked them if they knew that being a glutten was a SIN. They asked me to leave the Hall so I did. They anounced last sunday from the Hall that I was DA'd, where I lived and worked and to stay away from me. After 20 years, moving to a new state they still won't leave you alone, SAD!!! They only have control over you if you let them. Sense then I have seen several witnesses and I always say hi to them just to make them feel uneasy, If they want to shun me I am not going to make it easy on them, I can play there game better than they can. When I was DA'd at 18 they ruined my life for about a year, they are not going to do it again.

questions for those shunned
by unbeliever inmy mom totally shuns my sister.
she has for the last 10+ years.
even though my mom treats my sister like she is dead she has always been given access to the grandkids.

I have a sister that shunned me for 17 years, we were the only 2 witnesses in the family, she woke up and got disfellowshipped last year and she wanted to come and see me. After 17 years I welcomed her back as my sister because I realized it was not her fault that she was brainwashed. Your mother may think that she is right, but she needs a shock to wake up. My advice is to get it a chance atleast for a little while and see what happens. But remember the time that you loose with your mother will be lost forever.
