  Anybody Here from So. California?

  looking for people in the southern california area i have been out (in-active) for over 5 years.

  just looking for friends to talk to that understand how hard it is go on after living a jw life.

  i know all you do on this web board but, i would like to make some friends i can actually hang out with.

  I lost my sister today

  my mother has six children, all of whom she raised in the truth.

  over the years, all of us (with the exception of my older brother) have either left the org behind or got df'd and never bothered to return.

  today, out of the blue, my baby sister emailed me to say that she's back to attending all the meetings and even when out in service last saturday.

  Electricity!!

  power has been off for a day because of the ice.

  you sure do miss the tv, lights, computer, coffee, etc.

  Well I can just hear it when it comes back on........

  "Brothers, what a blessing we can all meet here tonight with lights and sound, how jehovah blesses us" then a possible "this is just a taste of the impending great tribulation at hand and how we will have to suffer as gods people, but oh lok how we will reap jehovahs rich rewards" ha like a hole in the head, or wasting our lives with this cult.............

  just out of interest are there any other large support sites for people that have come out of cults ? or is it just us ?

  if my husband and i were to shuffle off this mortal coil anytime soon there would be a fair amount of money to be divided between our witness relatives.

  what do you think about this idea?.

  we give everyone between $50,000 and $100,000 each on the condition that they read both of ray franz's books.

  Yeah but you know how it all runs, good idea but they would be martyrd for turning the money down. everyone would say "how well looked after by jah that they turn down money from apostates to hold their religion, oh how they will be blessed"

  Some Words of Advice....

  i just found out that i could easily break into my own home...... .

  my husband is out of town and i went out to get the morning paper.

  i always go thorough the garage to the end of the driveway....problem is i locked the door between the garage and the laundry room in the middle of the night!!

  Wow that is bad ! you need to be more carefull,

  English houses are now built virtually intruder proof, and proof of us if we inadvertantly lost our keys !, you have to have your keys to lock the door but if you lost them well your done for !

  my house alone i would hate to think about even trying, 4 leach bolts to each window and 6 to the doors, the alarm system will call the police if anyone is in the property and the fire dept if there is a fire.

  ..............and i live in a quiet area !

  a hell of a lot nicer than anyone else i knew.. and i'm only writing this because it's not really immodest because you don't know who i am.. i never went to the kh without some homebaked cake or cookies for the elderly ones, or a small gift for someone, or some cards telling someone how much i appreciated them.

  the more i disliked a person, the harder i would try to befriend them.

  Life in a peaceful new world? Your advise please

  last week, after jumping through environmental, heritage, waste management, bushfire and god knows how many other hoops, the local shire council finnaly aproved my "development application".

  this means i can comence building my 'lord of the rings meets the flintstones" type earthy paradise here in the bush .. so please forgive me if i don't stop smiling for a year or three .

  with the da came my new 'rural lands number' (an american system we've recently adopted here which means my #866 indicates i am 8.66 kilometers from the nearest road junction) .

  Call her, you could have some real fun,

  invite her over for coffee and a chat,

  then hit on her when she arrives

  as she goes running out the door tell her to be more carefull about leaving literature in diss'd or da'd post boxes !

  My Daughters First Protest

  well i went for coffee today with my daughter at a new shop down by one of the waterfront parks here.

  in the park they had a large group of people with a stage.

  i thought it was some church function until i saw someone walk by me with a no war in iraq sign.

  has been visiting our congregation this week & i was told from good source that i was in the list for shepherding (really for being df'ed), but the visit ends tomorrow & they have not called me once.

  very strange!.

  what could have happened?.
