If the word "pioneer" doesn't make you think of covered wagons.

November 2018 Watchtower study....attacking weak members, their personalities, and apostates
by RULES & REGULATIONS inthe watchtower society always attempts to disprove or discredit valid arguments or statements by criticizing the ability of individuals to think, reason, ask tough questions and make their own decisions!
if they can't logically attack the message, they attack the messenger!!
the name calling of apostates or anyone who doesn't agree with all the wtbts flip-flops ( the light gets brighter) never stops!

A householder told me an elder had cheated them in a business deal. I didn't know what to say, doubting the elder was guilty but knowing it was possible. I asked another elder about it, and he said we should always defend our brothers and say they wouldn't engage in such wrongdoing. I didn't say anything (being a good sister) but couldn't help thinking: What if the brother actually was guilty? How would the householder feel if we insisted otherwise?
Several years later I went with a sister on a study. She told the student we could trust the elders to do right and take care of the congregation. I said that if they didn't, Jehovah would correct the situation in time. She repeated herself. I said, very nicely, "But if they did...." "But they wouldn't."
I had in mind the elder accused of dishonest business practices. I still didn't know whether he was guilty of that, but I did know, and so did the the other sister, that he was guilty of molesting numerous children and had been disfellowshiped. In spite of that she still told the Bible student we could trust the elders not to do harm.
Right.

former2free, Welcome! Although we'd love to hear more of your story, be very careful about putting on here any information that can identify you. You don't want to drive your wife and children in the opposite direction or raise suspicions about yourself in the congregation by accidentally "outing" yourself before you're ready.

Consequences for having a non religious wedding ceraminy?
by Addison0998 inhey i was wondering if maybe someone who is an ex elder or who knows a lot about these things could help me.
my dad is an elder but i need to be cautious with questions i ask.
now that i’ve been woken up from my brainwashed love of this corrupt corporation and from my belief in the bible, and my fiancé is starting to wake up as well, i really don’t want to have the sexist, overused, impersonal talk outline used for my wedding ceremony by some elder who is trying to show off his talk giving skills.

They have banished the liquor, dancing, and music at the reception
Is that a general rule or just in certain areas?

Fay Dehr, Cool video! Could you please provide the complete quotes about "six years left" and "90 months"? Also, is "Stay alive till '75" from an actual recording of a convention? Thanks!

You marry him and raise your children in a cult, and have to shun them if they leave it.
Or your children would have to shun YOU if you left the Witnesses.
