Dan-You are being honest and so am I. I don't think it's fair to say that because I found your comments generalizing that I am just being politically correct. In every single one of your posts you hounded on the idea that these poor black men were being taken advantage of. It seemed to me like you were generalizing. Maybe you weren't. Are you listening to me at all. I said alot more in my posts than the one sentence that you isolated. If I have misread your intentions, I am sorry, but to say that believing not every black man is being taken advantage of by some witchy white women is the equivalent of political correctness is simply not fair. I understand that this is something that you have observed, and I never said that your observations were wrong, or that this never happened. It just seemed to me that since that is what you pointed out, that this is something you felt happened alot. I was just expressing my viewpoint, just like you were, there is no reason to get angry.

Dan- I like what Mulan used to use as her quote. No-one can take advantage of you without your permission. Again, women and men take advantage of eachother all the time regardless of race. Some actually love eachother regardless of race. You are certainly entitled to your observations, just remember that they are limited. And I am sorry for what happened to you, but it's probably the most telling for why you feel the way you do. You seem to see not only youirself as a victim, but also this other man she went out with, because you seem to feel that she used him too.There is nothing wrong with prefering to date within your own race, just like their is nothing wrong with dating outside of it. The only thing I was asking you to see is that generalizations are dangerous.
Oh and Lying Eyes-I would like to say a big ditto on the Lenny Kravitz thing. If I were single I would stalk him to the ends of the earth and make him mine!

i'm trying to get my certification for being partly first nations--my maternal grandfather is blackfeet.
i've already visited the bureau of indian affairs website from the feds...but i'm having a problem.

LDH-Your specific tribe should have a number where you can reach them directly and explain your predicament. If there is something that can be done, they should be able to direct you. I would agree that they probably have a website as well. Does your mother have a card? Because usually as long as you can prove that you have a blood relative on the roles, you can get a card. If your mother does not have a card or will not give you here info, it could be trickier, but usually the administration of your tribe can be quite helpful.

which in my observation seems to be the mentality of a lot of black men.
Dan-I am not trying to start a war with you here, but this is my point. We can make limited observations about other people, but first of all our observations can be incorrect, secondly you do not know all black men dating white women, and have no idea what their motivations are. People date who they ae attracted too, for whatever reason this women likes to date black men, that's who she finds attractive. There is no reason to read more into it than that. I know plenty of white women who are overbearing and aggressive and married to white men. I know black women who are very aggressive and princessish and married to white men. My grandmother who is Native American is very much the prima donna and she's married to my grandpa who is english and german, and yes he "puts up" with everything she dishes out. Nobody makes the distinctions unless it's white women and black men which just suggests racism. There are loads of women out there dishing out to a man who loves them and takes it. Color has nothing to do with it.

Without hesitation if my husband would let me. Love is Love, and there is NOTHING wrong with loving whomever you choose. My grandfather is racist, and he says all the time that he just doesn't think it' s right for the children. He doesn't understand 2 things IMO. First, things are different these days. I am not saying that racism no longer exist, but interracial kids are not such a rarity anymore. Secondly, kids are cruel. They will make fun of you if you have glasses, if your'e poor, if you have braces. The list goes on and on, and yes possible if you are from an interracial relationship. That's no reason to stop having kids because they might be different. DAN- I understand this may be something that you have observed in your workplace, but you must remeber that you are recounting one example. It's definitly no basis for describing every black man who goes out with a white girl. As a matter of fact I have observed that white men treat black women very well. But again this is not something I could say is par for the course, as I do not know every single white man married to a black women. The other thing is so what if they treat her well, isn't that the point? If your'e observation is that she is treated like a pampered queen by these men, than whatever their color, no wonder she prefers them, and I say YOU GO GIRL!!!!!People get so worked up about this and I have never understood why, we all bleed red.

I Lost 80 Pounds in 8 Months
by JLOB ini lost 80 pounds in 8 months on a low fat diet.
i beilive the only true way to gain a heathy body is the old fashion method of eating less and moving more.
if everyone would eat a well balanced diet and exercise regularly then there would not be such a huge market for diet ripe off programs.

otherwise finding faults w the lives of questioners is the red herring technique used to deflect criticism away from the lack of actions of any kind from your god.
This was just a general statement about how alot of people today are apathetic about the world around them, and often don't get involved to make the world a better place. It was not directed at anyone specifically. I didn't mean to make it a personal attack on anyone in this thread. I apologize if it came off that way.
I will never believe that. I think God has turned away from us,,,,, or the Bible is wrong about God's view on us. Or there is no God. I have no clue..and I pray for answers,,,,,,,,, not money, not fame, not even happiness.......... just let me know you are up there. He hasnt returned my calls.
LE-I am so sorry about the things you have been through. Again I don't claim to understand why some people experiance more pain then others. All I can say is that in my walk with God, I have had prayer answered. Sometimes it's not the answer I wanted, sometimes it takes a while, but I believe he is listening. The only thing I was trying to say is that if you want God to answer your prayers, sometimes you have to get to know him and pay some attention to him at other times in your life. Alot of people(and I am not trying to judge you) only call on God when they need something. sometimes in my day, I just call on God and speak to him like he was a friend. If there truly is no God, than where does suffering come from. If we have no diety to blame, than where do we go from there? How do we make things better? If you believe in God, if you don't it all goes back to the same thing. If we want to make this world better, than we have to jump in and work at it. I don't know where you are right now in your beliefs LE, but it seems like you have many questions, and desire to know that God is listening. It doesn't sound like you have given up on the idea all together. The only thing I can do for you is pray, and I would be happy to do that for you. I know God is listening to you, and I know he loves you. I also know what it's like to feel like your getting a busy signal everytime you want to talk to him. I once doubted too. I always believed there was a God, but I felt like he had abandon me. Everything that was important to me, everything I truly wanted just slipped through my fingers. But, one day I didn't get a busy signal. I got a response, and it has changed everything.
