How did you get out of field service?
by Mulan inwhen i was a kid, we had the meeting for service at our house on saturdays.
i would seem to be getting ready in my room and when mom went into the living room, i would run into her bathroom and get in the shower.
i had long hair, and no hairdryers in those days.

8,565 Anointed Left - Who will be part of the GB when they are gone?
by indoubt ingranted, there are some "young" anointed, who are supposedly replacing older anointed who "have fallen out of the truth".. but very soon, this "switch game" won't be working anymore... the number will keep decreasing and the amount of "replacements" will diminish as well, until there are none left.. i am sure that others have made similar remarks, but if we say that a 10 years old was anointed in 1935 (deadline for being anointed), that would mean that this person is now 79 years old today.
let's do some maths and be conservative: let's say 80% (6852 anointed) are the original ones (anointed on 1935 or before) and that they were all anointed on 1935 at 10 years old.. now the other 20% (1713) are "replacements" anointed (took the place of an original because he/she has fallen).
those persons must have some kind of spiritual maturity, so let's assume this group has an average of 30 years old.. combined average age = 69 years old.

I know they assigned the "given ones" back in the early 90's. I think Sam Farmer is not annointed. Anyone corroberate that?

Hi ex dub, I know of a few places that asked witnesses not to come between certain hours. A few bagel shops would pray to have that many people show up on a saturday morning. Its funny when some witness sees me at Walmart or the grocery store. They get a grimaced look like I am the colony leper out on my annual bandage and cream run. Then once in a while you find out the truly inactive ones when they come over to you and talk for ten minutes all buddy buddy, then the next time you see them they run out the door. Someone must have set them straight....LOL. Wouldnt ya just once wanna sneak up behind one of them and in your best grovely gruff voice say in their right ear. Hi, I am Satan, wanna come to my lair? LOL Taz

I dont have many in but the few seem to be slowing down. Some I think could hear the message from the platform that the WT is wrong and always has been wrong but they would still sit their and wait thinking that it was a test from Jehovah.

LOLOLOLOL !!!! I loved all the responses. I could only imagine what the parents were telling their children while they munched their donuts. "Hey, there is that guy that used to conduct the WT study Johnny, remember him, he is practically the evil slave class all summed up in one person". They always seem to forget the 400 times you helped them move or how you gave them your old car so they could make it to work. Cheers all !! Taz

I did it again. I went to my local coffee shop at 11:10am on Saturday morning. Not thinking that about 40 witnesses would be arriving. There I was standing in line, the two parties in front of me were taking forever. Then the army came in. Boy did I ever get those eyes of death on me. Lots of whispering into ears and whatnot. I did this about two years ago and told myself to always check the time. Oh well, gotta re-promise myself that I will look at the time on Saturday mornings. Cheers.....Taz

New BLOOD Watchtower - June 15, 2004 Issue!
by UnDisfellowshipped inthe watchtower, june 15, 2004 issue, pages 14-24:.
" for the benefit of current readers, the answer is reprinted on pages 29-31 of this magazine.
19 near its conclusion, the reprinted answer on pages 29-31 says: "does the fact that opinions and conscientious decisions may differ mean that the issue is inconsequential?

Apparently someone in the GB or high up the ladder accepted minor blood fractions. If they change too drastically on the blood issue they would open themselves up for a huge upheaval and lawsuits from the families of those who have died over this. I think so many resolved in themselves that taking a blood transfusion was bad when people were getting AIDS and such from transfusions. Now I wonder what the actual number is..when JW's take a transfusion when no one would find out. oh well....just my two cents !!!!
