i posted a topic the other day titled "do you understand..." and it referred my version of a high control group.

after that post my mind was still working so i sat down to write and this is what came out:.

once you begin to conform with some degree of an acceptable level, you will be given responsibilities in the group.

...what i mean when i refer to a high control group?

let me tell you how it works from my experience as a member of one.

once you become a member you're "new personality" must quickly conform to the standards set by the group regarding all manner of things we used to do in ordinary everyday life, but not any more.

Will just knowing a JW get you a resurrection?

let me explain what i mean.

have you ever noticed that when somebody who is not a jw, but is related to or is friends with or some other kind of close connection to a jw, dies, that the jw will always reason that jehovah will probably give them a resurrection?

yet, if this same person died and was not connected to them in any way, they have no hope of a resurrection.

I had a wierd experience this morning...

...that left me feeling, well, wierd.

it happened about 8:30 this morning, which is pretty early for me since i don't usually go to bed before 3-4am and never wake up before 11am.

i was cruising along the only coastline in florida that has bluffs, it's called "scenic highway" in pensacola, fl.

Do YOU answer the door now?

when i left the org the elders would come by at the most inopportune time at least every day sometimes twice.

i never answered the door, i just continued doing whatever it was i was doing and ignored the pounding at the door knowing it ticked them off because they knew i was home.

when the witnesses randomly come to my door now i still don't answer but have thought about it just to give them hell.
