by fairy ina relative came around the other day and gave me 2 little books that they got at a recent assembly.. i cam across this paragrapgh concerning apostates under the sub heading..... .
(paragraph 11..page 244...book entitiled..."draw close to jehovah").

What books do they................................
by fairy ini was just thinking about the times that the witnesses ideas or point of view has changed on certain things and, well, what books/magazines are they placing these days that have got ideas in them that have changed but they are still using them.
because otherwise, you would think they wouldnt be placing them anymore and only using the updated ones................would like examples of ones they are using but shouldnt be.
i dare not ask my witness relatives, otherwise they'll think i want to go back to the meetings

what would they do?

this has not happened to me, but i am curious as to what the elders would do if they came to you and asked about something you had done and you said you did not want to discuss it...and left it at that......they couldnt do anything about it could they?

hi everyone,.
i just want to say that i am amazed at the wealth of knowledge on this site..i went to the meetings for about 25 yrs and i didnt know a lot of the stuff that you all mention on this site.........i just want to say well done to all those people that do know what they do.............for instance, i never ever knew about the questions changing for the baptism, i got dunked in 1979....and havent been going to the meetings for the last 10 yrs...

by fairy inyou have to concentrate really hard for this one.. the owners of this house had been seeing images and hearing voices for quite a while.
they did some research and found that a lady once lived in the house who lost her husband during the civil war.
legend says that she use to sit at the table and look across the fields in anticipation of her love one returning home.

first timer
by fairy inwell, i have been checking this board for a few days and love reading the comments.
i remember starting going to the meetings when i was 5 and continued till i stopped going to the meetings about 10 yrs ago......total of 25 yrs to the meetings.
i remember as a kid not being able to celebrate birthdays or stuff like that and wearing our dresses up to our knees....that was awful.
