...and while we're in the mood for bumping old posts, I thought I would screw everyone up and bump my first post!
- "Sorry to hear a lot of it.But SO happy to hear you have a relationship with God"
Wow, I've evolved too! I don't remember the last time I had a relationship with any God. Look what you all did to me... In the time that I've been here, I LOST GOD! Most people seem to find god when they evolved, but no, not on JWD! We lose god all the time.
See ya in 2003! and 2004. And 2005. And lest not forget, 2006, 2007, and 2008. My, how time flies when you lose god.

The Long Goodbye......
by hillary_step inafter a transatlantic discussion with my wife we have both reached the conclusion that we will not be posting to this board again.
though we see the board as serving a useful purpose for some, it does not at present suit the path that we have chosen to walk to extract ourselves from the wts.. this board is in an invaluable place for those of you who have recently left the wts and need a place to stretch your wings and share you hurt and pain.
but once we learn to fly, it seems important that we should leave the nest as quickly as possible, lest we become caught in a vacuum between the wts and real life.

Wow, I read this and I was ready to give Hillary_Step a nice farewell.
...then I looked at the date of the post. Now I feel like an idiot.
Goodbye Hillary_Step! Maybe I'll see you in 2002 when I finally join this message board :) -

Why didn't Jesus write his own parts of the bible?
by Aphrodite inwhy leave the writing to inaccurate third parties who each saw things from their own perspective.
if his message was so important for posterity, why did he not write an accurate account of his message?

- "why did he not write an accurate account of his message?"
Probably because he didn't really exist. -

I know this is a bit early, but is anybody working on a scan of this yet? I can't believe they put out a volume 2! They must REALLY be wanting to tighten the grip on the yoof in the congregation.
Any bets that they'll be studying the first one again in the Book Study before studying this one? -

Any of the ones that I had I burned. Some were given to me, some I stole from my mother for the sole purpose of burning them. My MIL recently found that New World tract with the stupid Pandas on it. I'll be burning that one at our next fire.

Cinderella - Still Climbing
The entire album definately promotes open-mindedness. The music is also really great. Whoops! A couple of bad words slipped in! Not to worry, after all we hear those words from worldly people and TV all the time.
Still Climbing reminds me of reaching out for privelages in the KH. "I'll be climbing for the rest of my life"
And there's the first track:
"And it's my life that I'm livin'
Wouldn't want to be no one else
So if you don't like how I do it
Ya better keep it to yourself"
Second track:
"Everbody's talking at me but nothing's sounding right
They say the future's looking brigher but I don't see no light"
