This is entirely off topic, but I love how Farkel's IP icon looks like a backwards swastika

Happy With Chrome
by Farkel ini've been using google's chrome browser for about 4 months now and love it.
i love it mainly because it's simple and so fast compared with ie7.
i know there are a lot of browsers that are better than ie7, but this thread is not about which is the best browser.. i'm curious to find out what others think vis a vis ie7 vs. chrome.

- "Opera should pack it in now and go home IMO"
I hate you Simon.
j/k :)
I love my Opera. I've loved Opera ever since I was running Windows 95. It's the most stable browser I've ever used.
I tried Google Chrome when it first came out. It's probably just as fast as Opera, but more crashy. Chrome's best feature is having individual tabs crash instead of the entire browser. But I'm still happier with Opera.
I've tried Firefox on and off for a while now. The browser is slower than Opera, and the newest version has been quite crashy for me.
I only used IE for this site. Now that Simon's re-doing it, I can stick with my beloved Opera 100% of the time :) -

Is OBEDIENCE a dirty word to you?

websters defines "obey" as "to comply with or be submissive to authority.
" theres a definition crying to be disliked.

OBEDIENCE PROTECTS YOU
This was the name of a chapter in the old pink Great Teacher book. I was forced to go over it many times when I didn't listen. I hate that word and that phrase.
If I were to describe how that word makes me feel, all I have to do is change the spelling:
oBEATience
Usually, reviewing that chapter in the Great Teacher book followed a beating.
It's funny, the word "obey" itself doesn't bother me. When it's put into the phrase "obey Jehovah God" then I have problems with it.

I know how to fix your keyboard problem.
Open up Character Map.
Click on the letter you want to want to type
Click on Edit -> Copy
Open up your Browser where you're typing your message on JWD
Click on Edit -> Paste
Repeat until you type your whole message
Voila! Typing with your mouse! -

Here in Canada, we have something called "poutine". It's fries with melted cheese and gravy, and it's really good. Well, it's really good if it's made with good cheese and good gravy. The fast food joints here try to pull off poutine, and it tastes like crap. If you get it in a real restaurant, it's fantastic.

I like the quick reply at the bottom. I like having all the formatting in Opera. Overall, I think it's a win-win. Well, maybe except JWN crashing my browser, that was kinda unexpected.

Loss of Book Study = Less Book Sales
by Nosferatu insince they've dumbed down the bookstudy, making the whole thing shorter, they won't be re-hashing books as many times as they used to.
instead of getting everyone to replace their falling-apart revelation books, they simply won't be re-hashing.
since the pace of studying the actual book is now slower, it will allow the wts to maintain their once every year (or two) pace of releasing new books.. i dunno, it seems like a big loss for the wts to eliminate the book study group.

I dunno, it seems like a big loss for the WTS to eliminate the book study group. Less sales, less control, more freedom for JWs.

Nicer picture than the furry Jesus of last year.
It's funny how I look at that invite, and instead of the usual feeling of it being an important special event, I look at it and realize that it's all a big pile of bullshit. They might as well pass around Green Eggs & Ham at the memorial.
