It's one of the biggest things I don't miss. Get up at 315am,leave the house at 4. Start work at 530am. Get off at 130pm. After the drive home, step in the door at about 3pm. Cook dinner, eat and clean up. It's about 5pm now. Shower ( now I'm REALLY sleepy and tired. ) ,get dressed. Mind you I haven't studied so I skim the lesson whatever it is and highlight some key points. That way sister smoking hot thinks I've studied, and I'm a strong, mature christian man in Jehovahs Congregation.
By this time it's 6 and due to tracffic, not distance. I probably need to leave at 6;10-6:15 to get there at 6:50 or right at 7. Open the magazine room, give sister talks alot her mags, and remind her that she still had some to pick up ( so brother big shot will get off my butt about why they're still in the back. ) Close it up,and usually I'd sit but once again one of the younger brothers ( early teens, as I was early 20's ) has not shown up in time,or come to the meeting. So once again I'm working the mics. If I were lucky, I wouln't have a part. To think......back then I thought I was doing something because I did the mics AND gave my talk. ( I was really impressing em I tell ya' ) when really I was dead tired.
After the meeting is over. Roll up the mics ( not very many wireless mics back then. ) Go work the magazine room. I see sister smoking hot,but she's talking to brother loser. His dad is the big shot at the local company,he doesn't have a job,but he drives one bad ass car, because since he's going to Bethel his dad has his back no matter what. And alllll the sisters are on him. He's going places. I can see I won't get anytime with her, because I'm no longer a pioneer, but work for a living.Now...... I have no faith in Jehovah as I'm reaching out for material things. FINALLY close the mag room. See a few older friends, chat it up. Walk out to my car and it is now about 10pm. Get home undressed, and damn...it's nearly 11pm and I have to get up at 3am. Brother Loves service calls to see if I want to go out on my day off. I say yes, then watch the weather channel and hope for severe weather ( I really did that ) on said service day.
Yep. I sure do miss all that.
