I don't get why people are posting "Oh noes! Dresden! Oh noes! The British Empire!" - what has things done by Britain in the past got to do with American soldiers shooting babies and children in the head and stomach *recently*?
"You leader Tony Blair supports the war!!!!111" is similarly idiotic, just because our PM blindly follows Bush into an illegal *mess* of a war, it doesn't mean the British people support it; we aren't sheep. Do any of you know how many people out of the whole population of Britain actually voted for Blair at the last election? 2,400.

Extra training ... so you know that shooting babies is WRONG ?!?
by Simon inhow dumb and pathetic.. no extra training should be necessary for even slightly trained and disciplined soldiers.
i guess it is for some of the rabble that the us call "troops" though.. of course the real problem is not just those on the ground that have committed the latest attrocity.
it is the chain of command that tried to cover it up and all the way up to the president who sanctions bombing of civilian targets with nothing more than rumour for "intelligence".. from now on america, you are on your own.

I liked looking at the pictures in the Evolution book, but a lot of them were quite scary - or at least I thought they were back when I was 7/8.
I actually didn't like the Greatest Man, well it was tolerable, but I'd heard it all before and I think the whole "Jesus who?" environment of the JWs mean that it didn't interest me as much as it should have.
A lot of the Revelation book gave me nightmares. -

The bomb scare - Convention
by KW13 inone of the worst things that a lot of people are scared of, is terrorism.
its an invisible enemy, to be honest i've stopped watching the news since it just got me down.. at a convention at the manchester evening news arena (used to be nynex arena) in manchester, there was a briefcase found.
no one claimed it and in the end it was thought to be a possible bomb.

Mary Magdalene
by I-follow-the-narrow-path inif it was proven that jesus, in fact, has a bloodline.
what do you think this will do to religions?
and is it at all possible to prove that mary magdalene and jesus had an intimate relationship?

607 bce or 587 bce
by jw injerusalem 607 bce vindicated.
why jehovahs witnesses are right for sticking to the bibles chronology of 607 bce for the destruction of jerusalem.
arguments for 587 bce are scripturally flawed, causing four bible prophecies to fail.

Have I changed?
by I-follow-the-narrow-path inyesterday my ex-boyfriend came into town, several months ago who moved away and we had to break off our relationship.
the relationship was rocky; however, before he was going to move, so it was easy to let him go.
we reconciled as he was away and we are good friends.

Today in class I told a girl that Abortion is murder and shouldn't be used even in a rape case. I said that there is always adoption.
So you TOLD her as if it's a fact? I think you need to start saying "I believe" rather than lecturing random people about moral issues or Biblical issues. I feel sorry for your classmates, you seem aggressive and argumentative.
It's really none of your business what pregnant rape victims decide to do. If you're ever in that situation, *you* can be traumatised by carrying a rapists baby and go through the pain of giving birth, but don't start saying what other innocent women can *choose* to do (or not do). How would you feel if you were adopted and you found out that you only exist because of rape? What if the mother was only about 12 or 13? -

Witnessing at school
by I-follow-the-narrow-path ini was in class and by these two women (one who was a christian and the other student i am unsure of).
i asked them, randomly, "do you know much about jehovah's witnesses?
" -- they both said "yes" and the non-christian said "i had a jw friend and he really hated it... he disaproved of what they taught" -- i started to talk about shunning and disfellowship.
