one of the few unfounded (i think) accusations that have been thrown at me by certain people is that i have caused 'untold damage' to the silentambs cause.. i don't know quite what this is supposed to mean or what i'm suppoed to have done or whether it is anything more than just 'mud' flung by people who find it easier to criticise rather than actually do anything.. over the last year (is it?
) i've been happy to promote the silentlambs cause and have hosted links to bills site and vidoes / sound files of tv programmes, radio reports, photo's of the march etc... as well as providing a place for people to meet and arrange things.
i hope it has been useful and helpful to at least some people.. if i have inadventantly held things up in some way then i unreservedly and wholeheartedly apologise.. all i can say is, i do my best and may not always get things right.

SF - I think you are being a little harsh on the wrong person. First of all if it wasnt for ME she wouldnt even be out of the home in the first place. As far as the man that hit her, i called the police and they came to my home and told me i needed a date of birth and a ss# to even press charges on him for threatning to kill my husband. Now I have done everything on my end that i can do for now. She is in protective custody, which is safer for her and our family. She is not allowed to be at our house because her father knows where we live. I am sick over this whole situation. I have enough anger to kill him myself, but thats not even realistic. The woman allowing the abuse to go on is her own mother, not me. I am doing everything in my power to keep her safe. So i dont know what you mean by sharing the same views on the situation. And by the way, in case you didnt know this, i do have 6 children and a grandchild that live with me, and a pregnant daughter, that I also have to protect from this man.
I know its hard for some people that have faith in the system, but the system doesnt always work. I cussed the officer out in my home when he told me that they could not make an arrest, so so much for protection.
Oh, and for the record, I do have a little somethin for him if he should come my way!

Thank you so much for your caring thoughts. Thanks especially to Jesika and Valis, they have been so helpful. This has been a really hard time for my family, and it is nice to know that someone cares.
Here is the update:
This is my sister in law by the way, sorry for the confusion. The mother has been in and out of childrens services for years. We have actually had custody of the girl before and her sister. Her father has been in prison for 14 years for murder(manslaughter actually) and he used to beat the mother and her sons, which one of them is my husband. We did file a police report on him and a restraining order on him. We would gladly take custody of her again but they will not allow it yet for her safety and ours.
I spoke with her case worker and with a juvy officer today, and things are looking very good for the father to be prossicuted. If he is, most likely he will be sent back to prison. The only reason he got out early is because the prison he was in was closed down, and he was an old timer, so he got early release.
The good news is, she is in protective custody, and if he goes back to prison, we will get full custody of her. I told the child case worker today, if she was put back into the home, i would take it to the state legislators and hold them personally responsible. he is a very dangerous man.
Thank you again for all your support, it really means alot. I also hope the mother gets help for herself also, because to allow a man like this back in your home after abusing you and all your children, she really needs professioal help.

i am posting this instead of posting a reply to a previous thread, thereby feeding a troll.
i came close to rising to the bait, but then i decided to post a new thread, thereby pushing troll down the page.. i am a lovely person, successful, fulfilled, popular, generous and a bit scared about starting a new job on monday.
i might be offline for a while, while i set up the new computer etc.
I know, I actually did feed the TROLL. I wont do it again though, It just pissed me off to see someone so uncaring and cold. Just took me back to the kh days.

I feel the same way beck. It is really strange, because i have this desire to serve God, but dont really know where or how to do it. I really want to go to church, but I know hubby doesnt want me to. He is inactive, but thinks the churches are a hoax. Like the jw's arent!! Anyway, i think I will get the book that Dia recomended, it sounds like it would be helpful. I read Crisis of Conscience, and it helped me to understand why the WT org was wrong, but I still need to understand who God is and how to worship.

hi, i am so glad i found this support group for bad name affliction.my name is falafel biscuits, my husband gizzard would not let me keep my mainden name bun, i figured whats the difference between a biscuit and a bun?
my dog fluffy and cat stinky don't seem to care they were put in the biscuit family.
liver nose who rents our basement is just like family to us.
Mine would be Snotty Pizzafanny! Not incredibly appealing
