  How does God communicate with us?

  in the past, god spoke to humans through angels, prophets, and jesus.

  today, there are no prophets, angels don't show up anymore, and jesus isn't there to speak to us.. we can talk to god through prayer, but how does god talk to us?.

  so, other than the bible which is pretty outdated, how can god communicate with humans?

  when my grandmother died I wanted to send the best flowers . I prayed and told God how i wish I could send beautiful flowers. I sent the cheapest but members of the family called and told me a blanket of red roses came from me and they put over her casket and was buried with her. I was in awe. If that wasnt God how did it happen? I was scared because I thought I would get a bill for flowers that I could not afford. Never heard a word.

  as i have never been to a church service ( except a wedding which i thought much nicer than our cold and impersonel talks) i wonder if they are as boring and repetitious as our meetings?.

  i used to think it was me, that i wasnt spiritual or appreciative enough.

  i was so bored.. we would have a talk in the service meeting about how some complain about too many meetings or going over the same stuff, and then promptly say it was our fault!.

  I love Calvary Chapel churchs. Thats where I learned real Bible Truths. I found Bible to be very exciting thru them.

  not only is he a fraud but he is also a crook, taking money from poor susceptible people.

  was reading the older posts and noticed a christmas display with smurfs, why don't jw's like smurfs?

  In our kingdom hall we were told that a little girl brought a smurf to the kingdom hall on sunday and it came to life and ran out of the hall. wish i could of been there to see it. It was hard to believe but would never say that to anybody. yucca

  jw doctrine teaches that the 1,000 years of christ corresponds to "judgment day," and everyone who has not already been judged will be resurrected from the dead.

  the exceptions would be those who died during the flood, the destruction of sodom and gomorrah, and a few odd individuals.

  but that's only the people living today.

  by golly you are right. I am with you. Love the way you worded what you have to say. This is a christian nation and God help us if we forget it. All these people come from other nations because they find freedom here. When we lose those freedoms this nation is done for. God Bless America

  Undisfellowship You got it right. The truth is so simple its hard for some people to accept. The bible also saids You must be born again to be saved.John 3:3.You can not see the kingdom of God.It is so sad that people fell for lies told by WT and cannot accept truth from Bible. Gods Word. We do have free will its up to us to choose.We are either for Jesus or against him.Its also amazing how the name JESUS CHRIST causes so much hatred from people. A man who lived over 2000 yrs causes so much hatred. Jesus did say he was hated and his followers will be hated. So prophecy is being fulfilled. Just remember Jesus is knocking at your door you have to open that door and let him in. Thanks undisfellowship for your posting God bless you

  for those not aware of this story, it is one with intrigue, scandal and much more.

  not for the faint of heart.....it centers in the midwest around the time i was a teen in omaha.

  wierd, but like a train wreck hard not to look at.

  People know all about catholics and abuse. When you bring up abuse with a JW they right away start talking about the catholics. They take no responsibility for their org. but make excuses. I told some JWS since they believe that God only works thru their org. then they should have zero tolerance for child abuse. They dont want to accept that and make amends to the ones they have hurt. They will fight and make excuses to the end.

  i remember growing up and thinking that there was no way i would have kids ......... why ???

  ....... because i did not want to raise them the way i was raised, in the borg.

  i went through hell, why put a defenceless child through that.

  I remember in 1973 I was out in service with some sisters. These sisters were talking about how they go up to hollywood ( we lived in torrance) and went to bars and picked up men. I was really shocked to hear this. I said I would like to get married so my daughter would have a father and maybe I could pioneer instead of going to work every day. First thing I knew theres 2 elders at my door. They asked me did I have a sex problem? I was so embarrassed and my face was blood red. I said no . They said why did I want to get married with armagaddon coming. As if thats the only reason to get married. Now I am so grateful that I never married in that religion. Its a lot easier to leave if your single which I left in 1978. I never did marry and I have had a happy life out of the org. Its sad to be looking for armagaddon instead of watching for Jesus like the bible said. My daughter was looked down on because she got pregnant in early 70s. I saw people sell their homes and quit their jobs and go door to door and used the money to live on. anyway thankfully my family is out of that religion. we all left had enough of the lies.
