  no god is not religious. when jesus was here he told the pharasees they were hypocrites and would die in their sins. the law was made for man not man for the law. jesus was very anti-religious. the law can not save you. all those dos and donts is legalism and destroys and does not save. its a close personal relationship with jesus christ. i have free will and the holy spirit will convict me if i sin. when u love jesus believe me u try so hard to please him. not because a group of men give u dos and donts. it wont save u. god bless yucca

  Why do Some Ex-JWs go Wacko?

  i don't intend to offend anybody with this post, so please excuse me if i do.

  i have often wondered why some people that leave the wt organisation go really weird.

  there is a couple near me who left a couple of years ago.

  i think some of them have it in their heads from WT that they are going to die at armaggaden. so they think they are going to die anyway so why not do everything they want. thats what my daughter said. i had to get her to understand thats a WT lie. she then changed her life for the best . i am stating this in a simple manner. it was not easy at all but using scripture from bible help tremendously. god bless yucca

  i work at a job where my primary mode of comunication is the telephone.

  all day i'm receving messages, leaving messages, or speaking to people on the phone.

  i've probably heard messages for about 70 answering machines in the almost three months i've been here.

  you need to get a different job if it bothers you that much. i was a telephone opr. for years and boy i heard language i had never heard before. i was called every bad name u can think of. i wish i had got messages like you get . my life and job would have been so wonderful. god bless yucca

  Reverse Thinking

  for years i've been reading and talking to people who are out of the organization either by being df'ed or da'ed themselves from the so called "truth".. my main concern is that once the former jdubs are out, they start to reverse their thinking from everything the jdubs had learned that is considered a "no no", ranging from sex, satanism, getting into pornagraphy, drugs, alcohol, rock music, smoking, reading ouji boards and anything else they can get their hands into that was considered forbidden by the wt.

  even some decided to reverse their thinking from believing "there is a god" to "there is no god".. while i can understand the anger and bitterness that has resulted from realizing how they have been deceived by the wt for many years.

  i am concerned about the destructive behavior that ex-jdubs are getting themselves into.. sure it gives ex-jdubs a sense of total freedom and go wild on everything that was forbidden to them.

  i asked a jw why they were doing these things drugs and sex. they answered what difference does it make they were going to die anyway. they would not know any thing any way they would just be dead. happy to say this person found out that they had to account to jesus every word that comes out of their mouth and there is a hell. turned their life around when they knew jesus forgives them and loves them really made a difference in their life.jesus said go and sin no more.that is so wonderful.

  A small victory

  okay, my mom is elderly (80 yrs.

  old) and not able to get to all the meetings like she used to (which is definitely a plus for me!

  btw shes living with me now, since last spring, cause shes not able to keep up with things anymore).

  a friend i used to have who is still a jw husband was sick a long time before dying. her husband was 20 yrs. older than her. the only help she got was if she paid jws to look after her husband to give her a break. they never came to just visit him. one time he said tell those jws i am not dead yet. i was single sister who had to work. my daughter 12 yrs. old at that time asked me to ask sisters in summertime when school was out to take her out in service. so i did and the answer i got back was they were not baby sitters. that really hurt my feelings. i think very cold one of the things started me thinking. i am so glad your mother is starting to see them for who they really are. that poor lady that gave her money to them thats so horrible. what a scam. i really believe those men at the top are to going to pay dearly when they meet their maker. they are deceivers of worst kind. i will pray for these women. bless you for taking care of your mother. god bless

  Kingdom Hall decorating ideas

  as the holidays approach, i find myself in a festive spirit, though a bit fiesty as well.. i couldn't help but think that some of the local halls could use a little decorating for the holidays.

  many halls have signs out by the street.

  wouldn't they look better with a few stockings hanging from them?.

  When does a christian receive the Holy Spirit?

  from the new world translation.2 corinthians 1 verse 22 he has put this seal upon us and has given us the token of what is to come that is the spirit in our hearts.

  from this its saying its some future event when a christian receives the holy spirit.. my new english bible says.

  who has placed his mark of ownership upon us, and who has given us the holy spirit in our hearts as the guarantee of all that he has in store for us.

  when I WAS A JW AND WENT TO MEMORIAL I NEVER FELT LIKE I WAS ANOINTED. I NEVER TOOK WINE. YEARS LATER I WENT TO CALVARY CHAPEL IN RIVERSIDE CA. THE SECOND TIME I WENT WHEN THEY GAVE ALTAR CALL TO RECEIVE CHRIST AS MY SAVIOR AND REPENT OF MY SINS. THEN I KNEW THE HOLY SPIRIT HAD ENTERED ME. BOY DID I KNOW. I CANNOT PUT IN WORDS THE FEELING THAT CAME OVER ME. NO I DID NOT START SPEAKING IN TONGUES OR NOTHING LIKE THAT. I DID NOT LOOK ANY DIFFERENT BUT I WAS DIFFERENT. MANY PEOPLE DONT FEEL THE WAY I DID. THEY ARE STILL SAVED. I BELIEVE THE HOLY SPIRIT WANTED ME TO BE SURE SO I WOULDNT EVER GET FOOLED AGAIN. THE HOLY SPIRIT IS FOR EVERY ONE THAT CONFESSES THEY ARE A SINNER AND ACCEPTS CHRIST AS THEIR SAVIOR. IT IS NOT FOR A CERTAIN CLASS OF PEOPLE. THE 144,000 ARE JEWISH PROPHETS WHO WILL BE PREACHING THE TRUTH DURING THE TRIBULATION PERIOD.

  Prayers through the name of Jesus?

  it's common practice for dubs to end their prayers with words that indicate that they are being made "in jesus' name" i.e.

  through the mediatorship of jesus.

  more than that, dubs listening to congregation prayers would be aghast if the prayer leader omitted the words "through jesus christ" as the concluding remark of his prayer.

  my best yrs. were the 50s. we moved to calif 1956. i had 3 children. we got to go to disneyland . i enjoyed as much as my children. i made all kinds of friends. we were all in new tract of homes. all from different states except for two. i got to go and see tv shows and sight seeing. i was 26 then and life was wonderful. i wasnt a jw then.

  how the jw's explain heb.

  being that anyone who died before christ would not have a heavenly hope,.

  only a earthly hope, according to them.

  every time i found anything in bible that didnt agree with them it was symbolic. the 144,00 are jews that are going to prophesied during tribulation time of 7 yrs. there will be people saved during that time. hebrews is a wonderful book to read. in first chapter it proves michael is not jesus. wt twists scriptures to make it agree with what they teach. thats why i left back in 70s. got tired of their bs. yucca
