asortafairytale...your feelings and emotions are very normal. After all it is hard to shake the system you lived in for 18 years of your life. Hooray to you for being able to identify with your sexuality and start a life for yourself! Be proud of who you are, not what 18 years of preaching says you should be. May I suggest you read the differnet topic on this forum..perhaps the beliefs and doctrines..you will be surprised of the constant contradictions that come out of the Watchtower Society. If you were at a traffic light that was broken you would proceed through the intersection with caution. Campare this to broken and dismantled scriptures, entering such a faith, one has to proceed with caution...to protect themselves. Kudo's to you for being able to leave the Borg...many are still stuck in the wrath.

I love it...awesome work and you should be proud of yourself. Went to an assembly in Wpg once. Lived in Portage in the mid 80's. The lambs do look a little lonely..but they are strong lambs making a differnce!
Perhaps I will follow suit and sneak around Southern Alberta and leave Lambs on doors. Awesome Idea.

THANKYOU so much for sharing the pics...and THANKYOU to all who took part in the march. I am sure this will have a positive impact, with the media attention, and with all those littledubs peeking out the windows at headquarter..I am sure there will be some losing the faith very soon!

Depression and Dubs
by pincushion insince i have found this forum i have been doing a lot of online looking, particularily spying on what the dubs have to say about all the negative attention they have been getting in the news of late and through the internet in forums such as this.
i did a quick search on msn communites and came across over 70 online jw communities.
one particular posting on one community (#1 rated jw community on msn if anyone desires to look it up) i read a message thread on depression.

Swan...Mr Tim emailed me also after my initial post. After his very persistant attitude got to me, and me wondering why he is emailing me privately and not responding on the theread, asking if I was a JW, and me not giving him a direct response I was called an idiot yada yada. Many presumptions were made on Tiny Timbo's part (I am quite sure his genitale is as small as his brain).
My challenge to you Timbo is to post directly to this thread with your thoughts. You seem to be good at running us down for our opinions but you are not willing to share yours to extent. Also if you choose to email me, your emails will go unopened to trash.

I'm not a JW, but i've got some questions.
by iamtaylormh ini'm not a jehovahs witness...i dont know what i am.
when i was younger and my parents were divorced, i celibrated different religions with each family, attending many differnet churches, from methodist, to catholic, to christian and so on.
as a result, i was unable to seperate the beliefs of each religion and not really understand what i believed in and where i belonged.

This is an Anti-Jw site so you won't find many here still in that faith...browse through the message on this forum..read all the messages you can...it will open your eyes at what a farce the JW beliefs are. They appear nice when you first meet them..but in the end they are a bunch of backstabbing hurtlful idiots. Not to mention the abuse and molestation that goes on, but is never mentioned or reported.

Totally happy in your marriage?
by Lost Diamond inhow many of you are totally, incredibly happy in your marriage?
how many of you feel that your spouse is your absolute soul mate and you couldn't even imagine your being married somebody else?
talking with the women at work, i'm surprised at how many are not totally happy.

Absolutely happy in my marriage...I KNOW I have found my soulmate. Sex gets better all the time. However I think if we seek the perfect partnet be it in our spouse or in a person of interest, we will never find them, as no one is perfect...and a person is just setting themself up for disappointment. Relationships are built not only from love and sexual attraction. They also are built from compatibility, which does not necessarily mean sameness.

CONGRATULATIONS!!
1. Get a hold of a fortune cookie (either buy a box or save one from a chinese food restaurant)
2. Open the cookie wrapper and reach into the cookie with a pair of tweezers to pull out the fortune.
3. On a piece of paper cut to the size of the fortune, write the following message:
"Confuscious say: Man you are with is madly in love with you - He would be good husband! Katie, will you marry me?"
4. Fold the paper in half lengthwise and re-insert it into the cookie as best you can.
5. Take your sweetheart out for dinner to an oriental restaurant.
6. During or towards the end of your meal, tell her that you have to use the restroom.
7. Secretly find the waiter and tell him/her to put two fortune cookies on the table (one which is your "special one" and the other a "generic").
8. Come back to the table and quickly choose and unwrap the generic cookie.
9. When she opens her cookie, she will be confused and certainly suprised.
10. Immediately, get down on one knee, present her with an engagment ring, and say "Will you marry me?"

Yet another stupid email I have received
by Quotes inmy website has prompted yet another interesting email message.
edited to add: in response to my collection of wt pictures (which are mostly scenes of death and destruction) published at http://quotes.jehovahswitnesses.com/pictures.htm an impressionable young mind has sent me the following: these pictures above show the twin towers and a plane.
i'm confused.

My feeling is it is just coincidence....in their attempt to explain what modern tech means to them, the emphasised the largerst and tallest building, large aircraft, and missels. Would a person think Time Magazine foresaw 9-11 if these pictures (without the biblical phrases) were put on the front cover of their magazine 20 or 30 years ago...I don't think so. Unfortuanely the watchtower used them and I am sure the dubs will use it to 'enforce' the are the truth...totally contradicting what the original article was in the first place.

why did you leave?
by showme ini am not a jw so i don't have any stories about the organization.
but i would love to hear about your reasons for leaving.

I studied into the organization and couldn't beleive how wonderful and loving these people were. After I was baptized..I began to see the real truth, the backstabbing, the shunning and the handcuffs they had on their 'people'. I am not one who likes rules shoved down my throat..and everytime I tried being myself another rule was shoved at me. When I was sick and needed friendships the most, they had nothing to do with me. With friends like this who needed enemies. I too began to study a proper bible in depth and found a lot of contradictions..so it was so long cult..hello world.
