As I'm headed in her direction, she is smiling somewhat and nods a hello, so I say to her: "Oh, they got you too?" At this point her face freezes and she lifts her hand in a wave off gesture so I keep walking.
I hope this isn't a murder trial? If you find the accused not guilty she's likely to scream "Guilty as hell!"

Yeah, those dreadful melodies (Latte, you're sad! ). Occasionally, I get the odd look of disbelief from my wife and sons - then realise I've been humming one of the blasted things! Well, it is 19 years of indoctrination.

an elder in my hall is always so concerned about my teenage daughter( why doesn't she comment as much as her brother, why did she miss the meeting, why this, why that).
he keeps his attention on my wife and her friendship with another sister in the congregation and he is constantly hounding every move i make.
i feel the love is lacking.

I feel the love is lacking. Ther3e is really no true concern for the young people and everyon in the congregation. Everyone is separate- no unity -no family atmosphere , just jealousy, competition, envy, backbiting, criticism,criticism,criticism, I feel disgusted and discouraged.
Well, it won't get any better in the KH that's for sure! If you want unconditional love, true concern for young people and a good family atmosphere you've found it right here!

I just think sometimes the only way to keep you sanity is to walk away, to cut the ties if it is causing you so much grief. It isnt your fault the way your brothers and sisters are acting, and you can only take so much of their crap.
Lyineyes is absolutely right - I just hope that you are now in a better state of mind to fully appreciate her comments. Putting it bluntly, you are no good to anyone having a breakdown and that's where I see this going if you carry on. Being kind is one thing, being taken advantage of is something else. I don't have to tell you which applies here!!
You wanted advice. Walk away. Are you in a happy relationship with your guy? If so, great. Take hold of his hand and go and live your own life for a change. You can't be mother and sister to your siblings any longer. It's time they grew up and acted decent for a change. You're in a different league - it's not your fault that they can't attain it!

over the last few days i've felt a bit mixed up.
i wrote my story for dansk's campaign and it brought a lot of my jw experience back again.
i also talked to my parents about it last night, about everything i learned so its been quite a storm in my familys wbts little teacup.
I feel I’m going from strength to strength. No longer do these small-minded people have a serious impact on my life.
