Just got back from the 2004-2005 circuit assembly here are a few thoughts.
by PaNiCAtTaCk inupon arriving i ran into lots of old friends and really enjoyed seeing everyone and visiting.
they dont know that im currently struggling with doubts about the organization and they think that im the same old zealous brother.
i couldnt help but feel a sence of guilt visiting with them about our current number of publishers and how many we had pioneering ect.

DAing greedy persons

'quit mixing with anyone who is a fornicator....greedy person...'?.
surely by their actions of overeating, and greedy persons not inheriting the kingdom, they would be 'showing by their actions' that they are not a jehovah's witness?.

That's a rather rude question to ask, implying that unless you're studying the Bible witih them, you "ain't" interested. I'd say a proper response should be just as rude.

i mean, if you have the internet and wanted to learn about a particular beetle, recipe or how to cook rice, you could look it up on the web right?.

The only reason both of those magazines are still around in a developed countries is that they are a guilt inducing donation "cash cow" for the WTS. The WT could save a ton of money by just allowing them to be printed off their website on the net. The "loving brotherhood" should be more than willing to share a copy with Brother and Sister No-money-or-computer as easily as they share transportation when they go out in service. They could have a computer in the Hall, setup to only go to the WT website specifically for this purpose thereby transferring all the costs of the distribution of this "lifesaving information" to the congregations themselves, negating altogether the use of all that expensive printing equipment and overhead.

Certainly amongst the most damaging comments made during meeting include Brother college-educated-highpaying job-big house commenting on how bad this system is, how college is a waste of time and since this system won't be around long enough for you to capitalize on education, how much better it would be if you pursued "spiritual interests" first.
I had two brothers in my home about 10 years ago telling me just that.

On two specific occasions in his Sunday post-WT talk he made it clear that - even though it wasn't required - that it was expected that people would donate their insurance check to the Society.
It's no surprise that the WT is running that scam again. They did it in Houston when TS Allison literally left the whole city underwater a few years ago. They had this one specific brother whose company was set-up to provide invoices and launder checks through from mortgatge holders that required itemized statements from contractors. The caveate was that to take advantage of this "service" you had to agree to donate the greater portion of the check to the soceity

There was a lot of grumbling about that amongst my JW relatives who'd taken advantage of this "provision" considering that all the labor, the greatest cost of the job, was provided for free by those brothers skilled in that work.
