I got hoodwinked into going to the last bookstudy with my wife. She gave me the impression that we were going to a gathering at a friends home, since she usually goes to bookstudy at the hall. We get there, and the the home is set up for the study to take place there instead. . They had this long drawn out prepared statement about this being the end of an era, Jehovah is preparing them for something different, meeting together during the time of the end we're soooooooooo close to, blah, blah, blah......

I can't believe what I did.
by reneeisorym inso yesterday i was watching the news and i saw something about secret santa.
there is this movement of people who hand random strangers $100 bills at places like laundry mats and thrift stores.
so i was "moved" and decided to give it a shot.

I never hand out money randomly like that as I'd be crushed to think that I'd contributed someway to someones drug or alcohol habit, But, I have been known to to buy meals for people.

Do you find debating with a JW exhaustive?
by digderidoo ini certainly do.. i have been debating with two jw's on another forum about the un issue.
i have produced so much evidence that the un did have their citeria of support when the wt society became an ngo, all from the un itself.
yet because the wt statements say that they didn't have that criteria and it was changed later the jw's refuse to believe anything else.. sometimes i think what's the point talking to these people.

I don't think JWs know what a real debate is.
They know how to argue.
They know how to mimic.
They know how to rationalize with circular logic.
They know how to accuse.
They know how to change and avoid topics.
But in general, I don't believe they debate. Just getting them to stay on topic is exhausting. That's not a debate. It's more like herding cats.
Why bother?
Indeed.....
As long as they leave me alone, I'll leave them alone.
But when they approach and attempt to corner me with their nonsense, I blow them out of the water so hard they're bone dry by the time they hit land.
My wife doesn't even "go there" with me anymore.

I also proudly voted for the vry first time during this general election. The ground didn't open swallow me up. Lightning didn't come down and strike me dead.No big boogeyman debbil came out and patted me on the back for practicing allegieance to his kingdom instead of God's. It was a personal decision of nobody else's business.

Latest United Nations-End of Religion-End of World alert
by Questions1 init has been awhile since i've posted anything, but i got this e-mail from someone who is on the edge of falling out of the borg due to mental stress.
i've attempted to verify the information, even called the united nations, but haven't gotten to a person who can say if this meeting happened.
my gut says this is a contrived experience with many details just not adding up...but you never know.

Yeah....my wife was teelling me about hers coming up also.
Before she could ask that I go with her, I countered that I'd have to be at work that day to conclude a big project we have going on.
Wasn't a lie.....I do have a big project that's finishing up that weekend.
Damn!!!!
