  Timing of pPersonal Stories

  people here post a lot of personl stories about things that happen to them with their witness family members.

  but what about the timing of these activities..... i know a lot of people here have to be very careful of what they post.

  they either have family they're trying to convince to leave or they're posting here just to keep sane while the jw lifestyle swirls around them.

  i think many people here can applaud wg for her perseverence, her self determination, her ability in being self supporting and being able to stand up to the nonsense inflict upon her and her kids by her soon to be ex wt-whipped husband.

  but what of the women who are not so fortunate as to have the means to currently take care of themselves, yet are locked in marriages to jw husbands who use every wt trick in the book up to and even including the withholding of financial support for enjoying life to coerce their spouse into accepting wt doctrine they know to be false?.

  i comfortably sit on the other side of the spectrum.

  More Notes from the Astrodome---Saturday II

  it's quite draining to have your "bs" detector running on high alert for 4 straight hours, so, by the time the clapping was done for all the baptism candidates filing out to change clothes, i'd managed to move it's setting to low power standby.

  after a recharge of sandwiches, chips, washed down by now room temperature soda, i decided that i'd take a walk around the general area.

  inside the perimeter area of the astrodome, jw's young and old had filed out and filled the area.

  i went to the ggg district a$$embly this past saturday as a courtesy to my wife.

  we entered the building just as they weresaying th e prayer.

  about the time we had taken our seats and was getting comfortable, my "bullshit detector" tripped, went into high alert and pretty much stayed t here for the duration of the session.

  Derogatory Term...HBH

  i was recently over a relative's house when i heard one of their pioneer dub guest refer to one of her return visits as hbh.

  i assumed that this was one of those visits where the person chose not to answer the door.

  has anybody else heard of this term.

  i was recently over one of my non-dub relatives house when one of the dub relatives who also happens to be one of those self-righteous pioneers referred to a return visit as an hbh or something to that effect.

  i was only half listening but i assumed that she went on a return visit where the person who'd initially shown interest was now not answering the door.

  Another Busted Family

  it seems the wt god has successfully busted up another family.. my wife informed me that one of her friends husband gave her an ultimatum; it's goona be either the jw religion or him and she chose to follow wt doctrine rather than keep her family together.

  another who's so-called taken stand for the trooth.

  my wife is just berating the guy for leaving his family, but in my opinion it was not he who left, but his wife.
