  you guys might recall that when the 2013 yearbook came out, the letter from the governing body ended a bit unusually:.

  I was never impressed with their rank and or title. There was no reason to be. They are simple humans like you and I. It's bad enough to see folks go gaga over the CO. Whatever love they had I never personally felt .

  Most absurd thing I heard at the convention yesterday!

  brother lett was giving the last talk of the day about what they supposedly accomplished in 100 years.

  i was just waking up so im paraphrasing alittle(i was dosing off all day) anyways in his introduction he said.

  "there is more evidence to prove gods kingdom on the earth is a reality than wind,electricity and gravity is a reality on the earth".

  I so had the urge to scream from my hard seat " it's nothing but lies people" perhaps it would have gotten me removed quickly. It was really hard to listen to all 3 days. The fakeness was unreal.

  Yeah the baptismal talk Was Intersting. It was said that being baptized meams you have a direct acess to Jehovah for hmto hear your prayers. I'm like come again please. So if your not baptized your prayers go unheard? That's the dumbest crap I have heard yet. I couldn't believe that was said from the platform.

  International Conventions

  just saw a facebook post from an acquaintance who just went to the international convention in dallas, tx.

  according to his post, there were approximately 50,000 in attendance on sunday, with 468 baptized.

  there were an additional 9 conventions tied to this one, with an attendance of approximately 100,000 and 609 baptisms total, including dallas.

  I was there and was shocked at what looked very small children getting baptized. They are certainly getting them young.

  i've been reading various posts and i notice that fading is often advised by others who have done so or wish they had done so.

  why is this better than being df'd?

  i'm assuming it's because your family will not shun you if you are merely da'd ?

  Hmmm I have faded a bunch of times but have gone back a few as well. One of these days I will just say hell to it and DA. I find the more time goes on the less I care about any personal relationships I had with folks. I am not even living in the same state of my former congregation and no JW's where I am at even know I exsist. The odd thing is I have never even seen JW's witnessing in my area and I have been here for over two years.

  what have you done [or anticipate doing] that is special, original or just plain exciting to you?

  the grandmunchkins are all excited about christmas morning, and there are stacks of presents under the tree.

  the tree has become more colorful this year, as we add to it every year now.

  How did you find your job?

  often, i speak to people who seem to have good jobs.

  when i ask how they got that job, then they tell me that finally it came down to good contacts.. many jobs i had were also because of good contacts.

  naturally, having a college or university degree is what it takes, but having contacts seems to be what opens doors.. so, how did you find your job, with help from an influencial person, or all by yourself?
