I have always wanted to know the answer to this question as well. Seems kind of lame to post I am leaving. Should I really care? Then I can understand how one would want to get the word out to those that do care and perhaps exchange contact information if they haven't already done so. I can respect both sides.

has a jw every told you that, or have you ever heard a jw accuse other's who leave of that?.

sometimes i wonder if some jws do not have a very dark side to their personalities... a blood lust even.

i have literally had them confess to me that they would be like a wild animal if it was not for being in the borg... even inclined to kill for pleasure.

Well the truth is that I did not leave just to do whatever I wanted. My mother used that phrase once as an evil way of getting back at me. My life did not change much once I left except being cut off from jws. I still went to work everyday. Went out with my wordly friends during the week and weekends and played pool. Well judging from my activities one can really say I left to lead a debased life.

"I'm not interested" / "Have a good day" ??

what did you or other jw's say when told by a householder "i'm not interested"?.

a lot of jw's in our area have the habit of saying "well, have a good day", as if to fill the awkward silence.. but if you studied your "conversation stoppers" section from the reasoning book, you find other possibilities:.

"would you be interested if you could find out how you could see your dead loved ones again someday?".

Any good pioneer knew just how to get around that question,as many of us had the reasoning book near memorized. I would probe the householder for answers to just about anything to get them to engage in a dialogue. Never did I just say have a good day. That was letting them off the hook way to easy.

I am not here on this forum often but this probably the most sensitive and thought provoking thread I have read in the months I have been here. It's truly sad to learn the plight of many victims of the wts. I am glad to free from this dangerous organization. I only wish my mother could do the same. Thank you for sharing this experience.

Did You Ever REALLY Love Jehovah?

witnesses are taught that they must love their neighbor and jehovah god.

when persons fade away or leave abruptly or get disfellowshipped, you often hear this statement:"well, they obviously never really loved jehovah anyway"........looking back, can you say that at one time you really did love jehovah?
