  one night, we were talking and she asked me, again, why i wasn't going to meetings.

  is it appropriate for a christian to own a cat, in light of their past pagan religious affiliation and the medical information that is now coming to light?

  it would be misleading to answer this question with either a simple yes or a no.

  the scriptural answer of necessity must be a qualified one, and it is easy to see why.

  According to WTBTS research methods,

  1) one must look at the third definition of the ancient Greek word for CAT and the fifth definition of the ancient Hebrew word for CAT see that the 3 letters C-A-T form a Trinity of letters. (Please ignore the fact that the word GOD also has 3 letters and also forms a Trinity of letters.)

  2) CAT was not used in bloody animal sacrifices to apease Jehovah so CATS must not be very usefull.

  3) JW's cannot own a whole CAT; BUT(if your conscience allows), you can own fractions of a CAT.---Just saying!

  Can Spirit-Directed Organization Lie?

  when god says something, it is like the meaning of traffic signal: red light means always stop.. when spirit-directed organization says something, it is like shining ever brighter till the full light of day, (proverb 4:18) and then it becomes dimmer and dimmer and at the end of the day darker and darkest, .

  thus red lights meaning becomes start!.

  yes, a spirit-directed organization can lie.

  To answer the question, We first have to truly know if a "spirit-directed organization" even exists. Many claim to be "spirit-directed" but non can prove to be "spirit- directed". So, until we know for sure that there is such a thing as a "spirit-directed organization", we can't know if it can lie! Confused? Sorry, it's my JW illogic kicking in. Just saying!

  this site's newbies usually lurk for a month or two, with no interaction with us.

  The Definition of Insanity: LOYALTY TO THE GOVERNING BODY

  the definition of insanity boils down to expecting success by repeating actions which cause failure.. .

  jehovah's witnesses are expected to prove their loyalty to the organization by believing and practicing what they are told.. does this lead to success or failure?.

  ask the thousands of loyal believers who were led to expect armageddon in 1914, 1925, 1975!.

  Do you look like the apostate they warned you about?

  after waking up and wanting to get out of this nightmare, the word apostate is really bothering me.

  if i quitely become inactive, fade away will i just be looked at as "always weak".

  i want to scream out how big a fool i was.. and now telling my poor young daughter how wrong i was to bring her up as a jw.

  "Apostates" is the new WTBTS's fear-inspiring term to scare the sh---t out of dubs. Remember when "evil slave" was the fear-inspiring term? What ever happened to the "evil slave"? O, I remember------that vile "evil slave" is JUST FIGURATIVE now in JW dom. Just saying!

  I agree that all liberated ex-JW's and wanna be ex-JW's need to start their life NOW. We have all put our lives on hold, so to speak, for decades. Being a JW was all bad but it certainly limited our exposure to "the real life" which is REAL LIFE. So many that I know put their own personal goals and aspirations 'on hold' because of the WTBTS's mind control which had us in the 'new system' by now.

  Personally, I excelled in sports all the way up through high school and many of my coaches thought that I as least had a chance at a major baseball league careeer. I'll never know since, like all good dubs, I put the (WTBTS) 'kingdom first'. I know sisters that started pioneering and 'put off' marriage and children, 'for the sake of the good news'. They are now in their 60's and inwardly bitter.

  I'm with Bob_NC; "FIND JOY ALONG THE WAY, I NOW SAY" So for me now I live to drink wine with friends, eat fine food, love my family of kids, grandkids, brothers and sisters, and wish well to all people.

  If you are now free from the mental, emotional, and psychological grip of the WTBTS, you should tell your loved ones that you love them UNCONDITIONALLY. It's like a dream come true for the many of us who have pretty much spent our lives being good dubs As a great man once said; " I had a dream..........Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty we're free at last!" Just saying

  Christmas presents--"We get things all year"??

  i have heard that line of rubbish more times from the platform, especially around this time of year.

  yet, given the number of children with few or no toys, about 90% of the time, they get little or nothing year round.

  sometimes it is because of poverty, often induced because the parents are supposed to cut back on their work and pious-sneer or donate excessive amounts to the worldwide pedophile defense fund (or both).
