  Why doesn't Jehovah just destroy Satan and the demons then leave humanity alone?

  did you ever wonder that as a jw?.

  if all the trouble on this planet is down to satan and the demons, why not just get rid of them and then leave humankind alone and see how we go from there?

  wouldn't a god who "is love" (1 john 4:8) full of mercy and justice at least try that first?

  Look at the very first book of the Bible and we see that Jehovah has always been a barbaric God. He only accepted "blood" sacrifices from the beginning. Why? Does he like just like see blood flow? If he is almighty he could just cause the wicked to vanish...no blood and guts, no clean up. Makes me sick to think of how many bloody animal sacrifices the Israelites offered and how many of their enemies they were forced to slaughter in barbaric fashion.

  It's a bloody shame!

  hi guys.. just found out today that my landlord is selling my apartment.

  he says he selling it with me as a sitting tenant, so should be okay.

  i'm still a bit apprehensive as i've been here nearly 8 years and my son is in year 9 at the local school.. my mum's words of wisdom, were, of course, "jehovah will provide.".

  "Have no fear little flock"........Even though the number of the "real" FDS has shrunk considerably, the number of the annointed (aka:partakers) continues to increase every year since 2006 and has not actually decreased for over 4 decades. It must be a sign of the nearness of the END!

  I have often seen JW`s supposed beleif of 1925 as the end .....It`s not what I remember

  i could be wrong of course , but as far as i recall 1925 was not the date of armageddon , but was the date the" princes of the earth" would be resurrected .

  the princes of course were faithfull men of old such as abraham issac and jacob, anybody who had a prominent part in gods favour.. witnesses at assemblies after 1925 were constantly awaiting to welcome the resurrected princes of the earth up until the late 1950`s.

  these faithfull resurrected men were to lead the rank and file into the glorious new system of christs thousand year reign.. smiddy.

  Avoid or call them back?

  daughter missed a call from an elder tonight...we've missed meetings for about a month now.

  she is dating a worldly guy and i'm sure someone has seen them together.

  makes us nervous and with us being fairly new to the fading facet... should she call or avoid.

  When I was and elder a few years back, and was starting to fade, I raised the question to fellow elders" Why is smoking a df'ing matter? Nothing in Bible actually prohibits smoking! Yet when a baptized jw marries an unbeliever it's not a df'ing matter even thaough the Bible is very specific about that?

  Advice on children

  my ex-wife got married in december last year.

  so our visting arrangement with my children has changed.

  there was a misunderstanding in our visiting arrangment, we agreed on that they would spend the weekends (once in two weeks) with me they would stay until sunday.

  If they are "God fearing" (aka scared shitless of the Ocopope) they shouldn't have anything to do with you unless it's "nesessary" family business. Really, how necessary is it that you be their dad? O that's right, dads are pretty necessary! LOL---So just tell the ex that you have joined the local Pentacostal Church and you, as their "spiritual head", are taking them to the Pentacostal meetings every other Sunday. Let her put that in her peace pipe and smoke it. OMG! She will crap if she thinks that will happen but she may ease up on her stance also.

  many times at the kh i heard the various brothers boasting how the kh had good numbers in attendance and the churches of christendom did not.. i 've just worked out why this is; you cannot leave.

  you either fade, get df'd or da yourself.

  talk about hobson's choice.. talk about me seeing the light!!!.

  Meeting attendance is just a habit for most long time JW's. It was for me, but even deeply ingrained, bad habits can be broken. Was a jw for 60 years so been to about 16,000 meetings not counting all the endlessly tiring 'elder' meetings. Add them all up and here I am--an apostate. Some of us just take longer to see ttatt.

  "Let's read this Scripture which we are ALL very familiar with".

  The reason jw's "are all very familiar with" it is because there are really only about 75-80 Scriptures that are used regularly by the wtbts's literature. Yep about 80% of the time those 75-80 scriptures are used to 'prove' jw dogma. Most jw's know only those 75-80 verses even though there are 31,137 (+ or -) verses in the Bible.

  You know that old saying, "Repetition is the mother of indoctrination" or something like that.
