No such thing as history
by woodforde inwhy do you think it is that wts limit accessibility to watchtowers and awakes to only issues since year 2000 on jworg?
a whiff of something slightly orwellian?
not a case of re-writing history but nixing it altogether?

Makes me wonder why jehober didn't protect her! After all she was preaching/teaching about His Kingdom right? So much for depending on jehober for help in time of need!

HOW EXACTLY does god communicate with or direct the GB?
by stuckinarut2 inwe're all familiar with the organisations claims (and have seen the flow diagrams in books and mags) that the gb is "directed by god".
in turn, the local elders are "directed by god".
so, how exactly do they suppose this happens?

Can the world condition be worse than this?
by abiather inthe innocent civilians being attacked is the norm of the day.
attacking hospitals too are happening frequently.
now schools being attacked is becoming a regular affair (last of its kind massacred 150 children in peshawar on december 16, 2014)..

How f**ked up was the world when, according to the Bible there were only 4 known people on earth. Bad boy Cain murdered his brother. 25% of the world's population is wiped out by one act of violence. Worse yet is that jehober knew that of Cain's murderous intentions and did not even warn nor protect his "loyal servant" Abel!

Are the WT following Jewish practices toward ex-believers?
by Wonderment inon the book of hebrews, the believer's bible commentary says regarding those who leave the jewish faith:.
"now when a jew left the faith of his forefathers, he was looked on as a turncoat and an apostate (meshummed), and was often punished with one or more of the following:.
disheritance by his family.

The wtbts starts every wt study with an example from the hebrew scriptures. What a waste of time. The jews were a bunch of whacked out, rebellious, stubborn, sex maniacs and jehober still loved them?
The wt likes to use the hebrew laws to guilt jw's and then tell them how loving jehober is! Are we christians or jews? are we jehovah's witnesses or jesus' witnesses? I know that rutherford liked the hebrew scriptures much more because of it's harshness and vindictiveness that jehober dished out.

I grew up in southern California around the huntington beach-downey area. As teenagers we were all "bad". Lots of parties during the 60's and lots of drinking before and during the parties. Not a lot fornicating but we did do everything but actually fornicate. Yes there were many, many very pretty young sisters around that were, 'theocratic' young girls during the week, but were "bad" girls on Saturday night. The 'brothers' and I that ran around together with liked drinking, surfing, and 'bad theocratic' girls on Saturday night.
As I think back, I had, even by 'worldly' standards, a fairly normal teenage life. I wasn't an ubber dubber except when I needed to be. You know, token service on Saturday morning and then off to the beach till dark, then drinking and going to parties. Token comments at the WT on Sunday and then off to the beach. We were always polite the the young girls' parents.
For a long while a bunch of jw's from all over the LA area used to go ice skating on monday night in Pasadena. It was a good way to meet other 'theocratic' young girls and find out about parties that was coming up. Of course, me and my buddies would always show up (drinking). I often wonder how we got away with all the sh*t we did.
Baddest thing that happened was in 1976 when a very spiritual brother, that I actually looked up to, was caught molesting his12 year old daughter. I was on the judicial committee. From that time on I realized that jw's are the same as other people and sort of lived my life accordingly.

The British Bee Gees were a very successful rock group in the 60's and 70's. They had a great hit in '77 called,
"Stayin' Alive"!
The American wtbts Gee Bees were also successful in the '60's and '70's. They had a 'not so great' hit called, "Stay alive till 75"!
"Stayin Alive" by the Bee Gees is still a popular song.
"Stay alive till '75" by GB well, no one wants to listen to that old song anymore!
The Fan Name for GB fans could be "The He Be GB's"!
just sayin'!
