Screw the fools that thought they were investing money into a new ass-sembly hall for themselves to enjoy down in Atlanta. Air conditioning, comfortable seating, state-of-the-art-sound-system. Too bad! How about all their fellow witnesses that invested, not only a lot of money, but a LIFE TIME into the wtbts only to realize that they also were fooled! One can re-earn money but life spent is--well, another story.

You guys or gals have it nailed. i'm very committed to my marriage and family. Nothing is more important to me. Unfortunately, I did a great job of bringing up my family "in the disipline and authorative advice of J" (the organization) when I had no knowledge of ttatt. That is the irony. Now I have no idea of how to reverse the effect of my 'doing a great job'. Time will tell!

"ladies and gentleman of the jury.. my client is accused of a serious crime, the crime of letting his 160 pounds pitpull terrier 'muppy' maul the neighbours two kid to death for calling his good friend bob fat.. ladies and gentlemen we must put aside our emotions and consider all relevant information in the complicated ethical situation my client found himself in that fatefull afternoon when he let loose 'muppy' on those kids and watched her gulp down their bloodied remains.. in particular there are two very important and indisputable facts to which i wish to direct your attention.
the first is the neighbours kids was teenagers, age 15 and 17, and as such should understand the clear and obvious moral relationship between calling someone fat and letting your pitbull terrier eat someone alive.
there is no, despite what some may think, moral equivalency between these two acts.
I've often wondered (even as a young person which I once was, I wondered) if these 42 'young lads' were physically disabled or mentally disabled! How is it that only 2 bears could overtake and kill 42 'young lads' and none of them escape. Very fast ninja bears? Very slow running 'young lads'? Suicidal "young lads'? Did big j temporarily paralyze the 42 'young lads'? It's ludricrous that 2 bears could uncontestedly conquer 42 healthy 'young lads'!

what if you were a member of the gb and you woke up and realized it's all bs.
what would you do?
i would try to change the org from within..
If I had no family 'in' (like many of the gb) I'd get up at one of the Wednesday morning gb meetings and tell them ttatt. I'd explain that big j gave me the courage to explain this to them. (If big j gave it to me then they may be inclined to listen) Then I'd ask them if there was anything I could possibly say or do to convince them that the borg is literally and spiritually killing many very good people. I'd tell them that I love them as individuals, friends, and brothers but hate the fact that they are deluded with themselves.
This is exactly what I'd do to an elder body if my family was not 'in'.

does anyone know of a wt or wt book, that states abraham will be tested again and then judged based on his deeds during the millenium?.
essentiallly claiming that, after god testing abraham, with the sacrifice of isaac, he will tell him that he has to pass the same test that the resurrcted unrighteous have to pass.
i know that this is a teaching that is required by holding to the 2 class belief, but i haven't found any artocles on it.. any ideas?.
Obviously you do not recall that Abraham, David, and Moses, those 'ancient worthies', were resurrected back in 1925 an stayed with the 'original' fds/gb member, Rutherford down in San Diego. Isn't that why the the mini mansion was built in San Diego?

we have often heard about the need to "put on the 'new personality'" as a jw.... but i have realised something in these last few years of awakening to the ttatt...i dont like what i had become as a 'good' jw!.
i realised that being a 'good' jw made me very:.
critical of my fellow man,.
The "new personality" should be shaped by the WTBTS's teachings, doctrines, and interpretations of the bible. Now I know why I'm schizophrenic!

such a ripoff when you dream you're back at the damn meetings.
i once dreamed a local (rather liberal-minded) elder, jack hoogendoorn, was smoking a cigar while he was giving a talk on the platform.. last night i was back there again: one elder who suddenly decided he was going to be "encouraging" gave me the latest stats on baptisms, while someone else i was meant to go witnessing with was not-so-subtly probing me about how many magazines i'd been placing lately.
i chose not to tell them i had decided against placing mags any more.

i think of how judgmental we were as witnesses.
"worldly ones" were almost as bad as disfellowshipped ones but not as bad as "apostates"..
Very embarrassed! Had to virtually shun my 'worldly' family (cousins, aunts and uncles and grandparents). No holidays for my kids. Appointed as an elder in 1972 at 25 yo and had way too much to do considering I had two kids under 5 yo. I was a 'self righteous sh*thead like all young elders were in those days. Like minimus said 'having to counsel families when I was still wet behind the ears". What a joke of a life I led and dragged my family into. Oh well, that's the past!
