Reasonable, logical humans use mathematics to calculate things that have to do with real numbers. The wtbts uses, and has always used, "mathmagic". With "mathmagic", all things are possible!

ok i'm just thinking out load here so to speak.
but let say in the year 2000 the wt says they have 1 million publishers and at the end of the year they say they had 300,000 people get baptized so in the beginning of the year 2001 they show 1,300,000 publishers.
then in this new year they state another 300,000 get baptized but with 50,000 deaths and 50,000 disfellowshippings they stated at the end of year 2001 a total of 1,500,000 total members.

the wt has been reducing it's printed output of the public wt magazine since 2012.this is how the figures breakdown:.
month ................. wt printing each issue ............. total pages per issue ..... languagesjanuary 2012 ....... 42,182,000 .................................. 1,349,824,000 ...................... 194january 2016 ....... 58,987,000 .................................. 943,792,000 ......................... 254. during 2012 the public wt had 32 pages, so there were 1.35 billion wt pages printed for the public to read each month.1,349,824,000 pages x 12 months = 16,197,888,000 (16.2 billion) pages per year.
by 2016 the public wt has only 16 pages and is being printed only on alternate months.943,792,000 pages x 6 times per year = 5,662,752,000 (5.7 billion pages per year).
Basically they are finally admitting that no one is reading the wt and awake including jw's. Just part of the money saving moves. Been a dub 65 years and have hardly ever read a complete magazine. Wife and I have tossed many grocery bags full of old magazines though. The magazines became weaker and weaker and are now irrelevant!

we all remember, one of the main reasons for removing the bookstudy was the high gas prices, well, have you looked at the gas prices today?
nationwide, the lowest is about $1.65, the highest is about $2.67.
isn't that right about the same gas prices as when they cancelled the bookstudy in the first place?
It was nu-lite from god and an "adjustment" in understanding of the bible command to gather together.
To paraphrase Hebrews 10:25 , "not forsaking our meeting together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the less so as you see the day drawing near."

the costs for using the assembly hall for a one day last saturday was $12,000 with another assembly for the other half of the circuit on sunday, which will ring up another $12,000.
if the assembly was for two days the friends might roll their eyes if it were announced the costs for the two days was $24,000.
Circuit assembly Observations from the “Imitate Jehovah”
Spent Sunday with my wife at the circuit assembly in Madera, CA. OMG—boring!
4 part Symposium in the morning that paraded out one boring ‘company man’ after another. Each one started with an overly simplistic illustration on why we need to be like jehober.
One of the 4 symposium talks did catch my attention. It was entitled “using resources wisely”. Of course it was designed to get the sheeple to donate more money to jehober. We was encouraged (guilted): don’t wait till the end of the month to see if we have any leftover available funds to donate, donate early, at the beginning of the month.
I was amazed and amused that the baptism talk included interviews conducted with several fairly new baptized ones. Standard experiences on how imitating jehober helped them to maintain their dedication.
The public talk was: ”How does God feel about religion?” The CO started out by referring us to James 1:27 indicating that there is religion that is clean and undefiled from Gods viewpoint. The scripture states that ‘true religion’ is one that cares for widows and orphans in their tribulation. His point in reading that particular scripture was that there is such a thing as ‘true religion’ according to the bible. He then went on to give 7 identifying marks of the ‘true religion’. Interestingly he never again mentioned James 1:27 as one of the 7 identifying marks!
I asked my wife on the way home what provisions the wtbts has to help ‘widows and orphans’ especially since it’s specifically stated in the bible. She had to think for a few minutes ( I knew this question was bothering her alot) and then answered that the organization helps them ‘spiritually’ and that “evidentially” that’s what that scripture means. I said “okay, you’re probably right” and I left it at that.

i was watching the news about the french terrorist attacks.
not getting into that but i notice the media is churning it over a bit, now.
moving switly on; there were prayers for peace reported.. question: what do those praying for peace think that god will actually do about their prayers?.
Same as he/she's always done! NOTHING!

what percent are single, childless couples and/or couples that have grown children?
i know that can depend on what cultures/countries they are, but what do think across the globe.. what percent are children, six to 18 yrs.
olds?.
My wife and I had 4 children. According to the bible (wink), multiplying and filling the earth was really the only reason for marriage-right? Marriage purely for sexual pleasure is selfish-right? Call me old fashioned, but I can't see much purpose to marriage or a fulfilling life without children.
However, I've always marveled at how those those who are childless have such insightful counsel on child rearing!
Our (childless) DO once made this comment in his talk at the circuit assembly: "I've never laid an egg, but I know what to do with one".
God----he was our favorite DO of all time!

the terrorists get 77 virgins in paradise wheras the victims only get a panda and a table full of vegetables.
just sayin'
There's a good reason that those 77 are still virgins and it aint because they are beautiful.

why is there a huge cull going on of all bethels around the world?.
about 80% cull within the next year?.
some have been in bethel for decades and will be sent packing, the 20% of bethelites who stay will have to do their own food, laundry and clean their flat.
They have been riding the 'gravy train' way too long anyway. Time to get a taste of real life! Wonder if the gb will be making their own beds and doing their own laundry!

We had our "one day" yesterday in Madera, CA. The assembly hall is at least 35 years old. During the 'financial report announcement', we were informed that our "expenses" to use the assemble hall, (that has been paid for at least 20 times over), were $10,900. The attendance was 1,202 so $9.00 per person. The brother that made the financial announcement came to the speakers stand with bright red file folder in his hand. He 'jokingly' let us know that, yes, were are in the red so far as we had a $3,500 dollar deficit. Everyone snickered, but we were also $3,500 short last assembly also. lol!
Oh yea, it was announce twice that there are now 4, conveniently located, ATM's inside the assembly hall for those who want to "voluntarily" donate by debit or credit cards.
8 were baptized, 6 were teenage or less (born in jw kids), 2 adults. .6%
WOW, what a fine day of 'spiritual' feasting!

a bethelite was telling me that there are 83,000 theocratic facilities world wide.
he compared that to 35,000 mcdonalds and 21,000 starbucks roughly to show the size of the theocratic organization.
i am not sure where the 83,000 comes from what would he be counting?
Sounds like boasting to me.
